they missed the playoffs but didnt got blown by any team...

I think this is probably the best team to keep in WL tbh. They did beat Providence heads up too. Sparta is probably the only other team deserving of another shot, but they already got that card played last season, so I'd be hesitant to allow it again. HHWC gets my vote.

if they let sparta stay last season, no reason to believe they wont let you move down and regroup.

I did think MPHD requested that as well though....at least taut said to me he was.

FWIW, I don't think a playoff team from WL should be able to request to drop just to Pro anymore than a team should be able to decline a promotion from Pro to WL - same issue in my mind. Either stay where you have earned your spot, or drop to AA (or minors) and regroup. I realize there are considerations of trying to get the next group of dots the best chance for playing the right season (guessing season 17?) in the WL, but that's an agent/team planning issue, not a GLB team promotion/demotion issue.

If a team folds or drops to AA, then so be it, and Bort can hand-pick a replacement under whatever criteria I suppose. Would be better if there were an objective solution but given that WL is just one league it's not a terrible situation.
