Football and D&D?

That would explain the "Playbook of Many Things" I found on my desk this morning.

That one is more believable.
That would say if it hadn't been for Frankfurt.

Unless Glasgow screws up Belfast won't get the 2nd place.
And unless we screws up, Glasgow won't be able to beat us.

As for Cork, they have to win all remaining games

O really?

We won over you, so when tied with wins, we will be placed higher.
If all 3 of us (including Belfast) ends up with same amount of wins, points scored will determine the place, and you are 230 points behind us.

well that sucks cock

Sorry but you have beaten 4 of the 5 worst teams and a huge upset against us.
I don't look at you in the top 10 cause you have not proven you are a top 10 team.

convenient you leave out our tie with sweden's army from the resume.

anyway, if you look at the teams around us (to whom, admittedly, we lost close games) in the rankings, they don't have any "quality wins" except against each other. I'm in no way disrespecting those wins--damnit, one of those and we'd be in the playoffs right now!--but it is interesting that cork city is the only team in the standings below 8th that beat a team with a winning record (the others have only beaten teams with losing records--which you blast us for). Sweden's army's lone win against a winning team was against IKK.

It's clear there's a middle tier to the conference that includes Sweden's Army, us, Limerick, and Spaniard. Not including us in that tier is foolish.

Then you are a Hypocrite.
Cause Reykjavik done it better than you and probably will end up on 11th.
If you want yourself in that group then you have to add Reykjavik also.
And i disagree with both of you being there as neither has had much chance getting into the playoffs like the 3 others.

JerseyT - you're quite right to say there's a middle tier this season and they're all shooting for that 8th playoff spot (the one that Glasgow used to launch themselves into the spotlight last season). Whether Rekjavik are in it or not doesn't really matter to your point as what matters is that there is a really intense and close battle for that 8th spot between 3-5 teams and that's great. Cork are still an outside bet to get in given their horrible last few games more than anything.

Asmo might not exactly be particularly interested in a career in diplomacy or public relations but him putting up analysis of each round's result is a great thing and has really helped keep things alive here so don't knock him for putting something out there unlike most of the rest of us.

Storm et al, how's about we take it to another thread and see if we can get some rivalry going to keep us all entertained.

Asmodian is the sole reason why I ever go into the league forum so I fully have to agree with MLA here. If you wan't recognition it's not harder then proving yourself ingame. Asmodian writes his personal analysis and if you don't like it, just prove him wrong.

I don't usually read this forum, but for what it's worth - a belated good job to Cork, Belfast and Frankfurt for beating us so far.

And hard luck to the others, who will no doubt give us a good, close game next time. This season's been really fun and I'm looking forwrad to seeing what the playoffs produce. Good luck to everybody.

And lay off Asmodan, he's a nice guy producing rankings for all our pleasure. He's not trying to be rude to anyone, he's just giving his judgement on what he sees as the strengths of each team - so don't take it so personally.

3rd last round is finished and the playoffs are getting close.

Alpha:
Frankfurt toyed with Port St Lucie, so CONGRATULATION Frankfurt for winning Alpha in regular season.

After a slow start, Bow Street just crushed Sweden and is on their way to a 2nd place which they now hold.
Sweden holds 10th which probably will be where they end.

Belfast met Marseille in a fight to secure their top4 spot.
They started best with a FG, but then both teams began doing turnovers, Marseille drawing the longest straw tieing the game with a FG.
Neither team seemed able to get their offense going, and it was another turnover which sent Marseille up into the lead as they managed to get a TD afterwards.
But Belfast struck back scoring one of their own, before Belfast had to do a FG before the half ended.
After such an exciting first half the audience looked forward to the 3rd quarter.
Sadly it was so boring an old grandma almost fell down the stairs falling asleep.
But as the 4th quarter started, Belfast got it rolling scoring another TD.
Marseille tried their best to tie the game, but had to settle for a FG against Belfast valerous defense.
Belfast won an important game staying on 3rd, while Marseille on 6th just can focus on the playoffs.

Glasgow took an easy win over Belgrade still holding 4th.

Lyon met Cork who was really fired up to show a certain guy something.
Still Lyon started best but had to settle for 2 FG's after being stopped in the redzone.
Cork came back, but also they had to make a FG after being stopped in the redzone.
Angry about this, Corks kicker kicked the ball far, then proceeded to kick Lyon's KR in the balls forcing him to lose the ball.
Cork took this opportunity to score a TD and take the lead.
However Lyon just continued their grinding off Cork's defense and made yet another 2 FG before the half ended.
Having learned from Corks kicker, Lyons kicker kicked the ball far, before running up and kicking Cork's KR in the balls forcing him to lose the ball.
However they only got a FG out of this.
Cork's offense couldn't do anything and before the 3rd quarter ended, Lyon scored another FG.
What the coach did during the break between 3rd and 4th quarter is unknown, but Cork suddenly got their offense working scoring a TD and a FG taking the lead.
They stopped Lyon once, but with less than 2 minutes left, Cork's CB saw a pretty lady among the spectators and forgot to cover Lyons WR who could score the game winning TD.
Close game, but Lyon secured their playoff while Cork has no chance whatsoever to make the playoffs.

IKK Fu massacred Clydesdale and secured their playoff spot on a 7th.

Limerick had an easy game against jumbo Larryville...or not.
What Limerick was doing i can't understand, but after the 3rd quarter Larryville was leading 10-3.
it was then Limerick woke up and managed to put 2 TD in the last 5 minutes to take a narrow win against what should have been a walkover.
Limerick still hold 8th but if this continue they might actually give away their playoff spot.

Spaniard had trouble against reykjavik, but was the better team eventually taking a small victory holding their 9th.
Reykjavik is still down at 12th.

Zeta:

Berlin met Kilkenny to decide who wins Zeta.
Dissapointingly Kilkenny never stood a chance, barely managing to score a FG.
CONGRATULATION Berlin for winning Zeta in regular season.
Kilkenny still holds 2nd though.

London massacred P-Ville and is now holding 3rd and got a good chance to make top4

Rome met Vatican, and after a slow start, took control over the game, taking a comfortable victory.
Rome is 4th while Vatican still holds their 7th.

Buffalo met Drunken in a game they both needed to win. Buffalo to take top4 spot and Drunken to secure a playoff spot.
Buffalo started best with a long yard TD.
But Drunken struck back immedeatly as their KR ran all the way in and tied the game.
Both teams offense were really strong as Buffalo couldn't be stopped to score another TD, but Drunken got back and did the same.
Buffalo scored a 3rd TD out of 3 attempts but then both teams offense had gotten to tired.
It wasn't before the end of 3rd quarter any of them managed to get into the redzone.
Drunken did this, but couldn't score that TD and had to settle for a FG.
With the 4th quarter starting, Buffalo again got their offense going scoring a TD but for the second time this game missing on the extra point.
Oh well what does an extra point matter...right?
It turned out to be their downfall as Drunken came back at the end of the game like a mean drunk, scoring a TD and a FG winning by 1 point.
Drunken is still 8th, but its looking really good for them concerning playoffs, while Buffalo who had the 2nd place in their pocket, now gotto fight to get that top4 spot as thye fell down to 5th.

Shamrocks easily defested Camelot and has secured that playoff spot.

Tranmere met BC who just changed their owner.
BC started best, but got tired at the end allowing Tranmere to walk in the victory.
Tranmere still on 9th and it isn't looking good for them.
BC on 11th for now, but need to score more if they want to keep it.

Fighting Irish took an easy win over Munich securing their 10th place.

Vikings crushed Leeds making sure they won't be able to take away their 13th place.

New predicted standings even though its only 2 games left:

Alpha:
1 Frankfurt
2 Bow Street
3 Glasgow
4 Belfast
5 Lyon
6 Marseille
7 IKK Fu
8 Limerick
9 Spaniards
10 Sweden
11 Reykjavik
12 Cork
13 Port St Lucie
14 Belgrade
15 Clydesdale
16 Larryville

No changes as there were no upsets

Zeta:
1 Berlin
2 Kilkenny
3 London
4 Buffalo
5 Rome
6 Shamrocks
7 Vatican
8 Drunken
9 Tranmere
10 Fighting Irish
11 Munich
12 Vikings
13 BC
14 Leeds
15 Camelot
16 P-Ville

Drunken beat Buffalo but doesn't gain anything on it.
Buffalo however falls down to 4th, and again London gains on their opponents screwing up.

Well, at least you continue to prove that you are in fact the biggest self absorbed d-bag in this division. I don't know what I'm to say

Great game Lyon, thought we had you guys in that one. Your kicker is automatic. Good game.
