70+ catching, 50+ carrying, 60+ strength, 15 Mr. Reliable, 15 Possession WR yet got both of his 2 passes knocked loose on 6-7 yard routes.

Yup, both both what appears to be a big hitting MLB.

Let's not forget that this is, in essence, a PvP game, and every attack needs a counter. Right now, any defender can cause a KL, and no one has any idea how. Jackhammer helps, and there's a STR req on it, but we've all seen 25 STR CBs and 40 STR safeties KL with regularity. Carrying is supposed to be the counter, but how can you counter something that doesn't seem to require any tangible attribute?

There's a definite and obvious trend in knocked loose ability vs. build in my experience.

It is called sarcasm. A TE with 71 catching shouldn't drop 30% of his passes if catching was the answer, which it is not.

I don't think it should be nerfed though because you can overcome the drops with the right build. Mr. Reliable, possession WR and Sure hands are certainly garbage piece of shit VAs though.

FYI - "Cover Up" helps with this according to the staff. Any elite receivers/TE's going with that one?

they really said that?

I don't even want to think how long it would take me to roll 2 useful pieces of cover up AE for a WR

WRs are nerfed beyond reason because they can't get separation, their VAs suck and knocked loose kills them...and people wonder why so many teams #1 WR is a HB? Drago, keep speaking the truth.

And they tried to hide it by adding the new WR plays and while they are pretty good, really won't help if you aren't getting separation to avoid the KLs.

Don't get me started on Sure Hands, absolutely useless.

The main problem with WRs is the terrible AI for deciding when to throw passes. QBs should anticipate the opening (by reading coverage and knowing the routes) and throw to that. Waiting to throw UNTIL the man is open is often terrible, because it's often leading the WR into the next bad guy.

This. Only reason I favor my HB's so much is because it is what works, most WR's are useless.

That is my WR in the first link Drago used. Just for reference here are a couple of his numbers:

Strength: 47
Carrying: 43
Catching: 68

It was kind of strange how he catches the ball and turns up field for a few yards and then gets the ball "deflected"...not a fumble...but deflected.

It's a combo of that along with what he stated. That def. adds to it, but terrible VA's and KL when compared to CB's VA's just beat WR's down even more.

Had a WR with 4 BNL and catching was in the 70s, carrying almost at the 3 cap, heck even high confidence.

Maybe not as much strength but it was 40+, do they need 60 strength? If so, you are talking possession WRs. I dont see many successful true possession WRs

From what I saw part way through last season there was a direct correlation between KL pass percentage and carrying+strength. Last season we did a little test on our team with strength+carrying vs drops (obviously not all KL, but the difference in catching with the guys tested isn't much). They all went in order of highest s+c = lowest drops. The difference between 50 to 65/70 was very noticeable, while the difference between 70 and 100 was lower (but still noticeable).

Also, lets be real guys, KL passes happen often enough irl. If there weren't this many KL passes then we would just need something else to counter the passing offense.

Finally, I don't get the whole comparison with catching and KL. It doesn't take a genius to figure there should be little correlation between them. If a LB comes and crushes a WR right after a catch it makes no difference if they actually had good hands or not.
