Maybe Lead Blockers need a change similar to the one HBs got on outside runs, making that supposed spot closer to the line of scrimmage resulting in a nice buff for high Awareness builds.

wow, nice gamble Absolut. I seen you attack the strong side and went all in weak. You went all in attacking the weak. This is why I shouldn't gameplan and should just run all over the place.

I dont know much about the run blocking stuff

Nobody knows. Maybe Lead Block finds players X yards away while run block kicks in when the players Y yards away.

80 lead block awareness and we miss this block constantly...next run team we aren't even gonna use awareness if it is gonna be that useless.

From watching my rookie team, I think there are some plays where the FB auto locks onto the furthest outside and downfield defender that's unblocked. It took awhile for the WR to reach the backpedaling CB, so I think that's what happened there.

My blocking WR's will have First Step, so crossing my fingers, hopefully they'll reach the CB's in time for the FB to go after other targets. If I'm wrong and something else is affecting the FB, well, at least the WR's will look super excited to block CB's on every play.

that seems kinda ridiculous though as he is right there and he just runs by. Basically you are telling me that awareness is meaningless to the equation. That being said, no doubt the next time through we will be adopting that strategy rather that screwing around with the awareness parts of it.

I think Cobra Commander will answer those questions. The main skills I will pumping are speed, quickness, run block tech, run block aware and lead block aware.

GG, I did something similar. Didn't get a D in time, but tried tweaking the offense. Maybe I should've flipped it around, not too happy with how my O has been thus far this season, and my tampering hasn't really improved things.

Yep. I stopped making that decision and just run all over the field now.

Funny you say this. The same thing is happening to me except with my TE. On 3 WR, off tackle to the TE side, the TE always runs to block the CB instead of the SS right in front of him. My WR is very slow getting off the line so I guess this is why he is doing it.

He doesn't quite reach the CB on this play, but most plays the TE would end up blocking the CB and leave the SS open to make the tackle.

I will pump speed and quickness on the WR and see if that helps him block the CB first.

Yeah, that's twice in a row your offense has fallen exactly into the defenses teeth. Incredibly unfortunate timing for you.

I almost went zone against you, 4-3 Cover 2 Buc specifically. No idea if more aggressive outside corners would've helped against pure rushing offenses. Still trying to figure out defensive pathing with the new offensive rushing changes. But, as always, my desire to blitz took priority.

Don't know if you want to say, but what's the carrying grip on your backs? I would've thought I could lay the lumber better than I did. I've got some serious power tackling investment in my D.

Private Scrimmage, so I can't comment about that.

Ya, not even sure what made you go that route with how much strong side we have gone. Well played though. I can only tip my hat to that. I go strong and we probably score 40+.

Carrying on our backs is in the 60's. Really surprised we didn't fumble more often with how many guys you had waiting for us at all times.

You are late to the party. INHS's FB answers that question.

Yeah, most likely. Probably won't gamble next time we play...or will I? Dun dun duuuunnn...suspense! Except not really, because I can't beat Salty so it's all moot anyways.

Hmm, I'd have thought it'd be a fumble fest, so either it's bad RNG or some other skills I'm lacking.
