From watching my rookie team, I think there are some plays where the FB auto locks onto the furthest outside and downfield defender that's unblocked. It took awhile for the WR to reach the backpedaling CB, so I think that's what happened there.
My blocking WR's will have First Step, so crossing my fingers, hopefully they'll reach the CB's in time for the FB to go after other targets. If I'm wrong and something else is affecting the FB, well, at least the WR's will look super excited to block CB's on every play.Funny you say this. The same thing is happening to me except with my TE. On 3 WR, off tackle to the TE side, the TE always runs to block the CB instead of the SS right in front of him. My WR is very slow getting off the line so I guess this is why he is doing it.
He doesn't quite reach the CB on this play, but most plays the TE would end up blocking the CB and leave the SS open to make the tackle.
