First full shift of the spring followed by the genius decision to play 3 hours of pickup games. So tired.

At least the weather was amazing

Have never served, but I don't have any issue with people being enthusiastic about new careers or endeavors. I am sure you will swell with pride when you go to med school and this may be the equivalent for him. For someone else, it may be running marathons.

Anytime someone is making something of themselves, I give them a lot of latitude. I much prefer that than constant talk from some folks about their next round of substance abuse. That is pretty boorish, to me.

I'd equate that to me talking about the perils, sacrifice, and batman-like dark knight quality to being a doctor when I just got accepted to med school tho. Idk it just struck me as odd.

Lol no, it was shot.

There was one nail still stuck in the tire and about 2-3 other holes and what basically was a tear in the rubber from hole to hole (giggity?). Hitting nails on the highway going 60 did a number on it and im also pretty sure there was a piece of scrab metal somewhere because no way a nail did it all. (I needed new tires anyway, so this was a push to finally suck it up and spend the money)

Luckily I just found someone who lives 30 min away who has a tire I can throw on there for now. So now only 30 min of shitty sidewall ridin.

So I'm a frosh this year and have to ask. Is it really worth it devote most of my elective spaces the next few years to a minor in something (mostly) unrelated like Political Science or Psychology, or should I just find a bunch 1000/2000 level and/or BS courses and so I can focus on my finance/account major? I've taken the intro courses and actually have some interest in those things, but don't want to waste my time if it's really not worth it.

find a minor that somewhat relates to your major and take electives for that. foreign languages would be good.

There's not really any wrong answer. Every applicable class will get you closer to a degree, so it comes down to personal preference. You can definitely work on a minor. You can also just take whatever classes sound fun as they still take care of an elective requirement (note not all electives will fulfill a requirement and it may just be a superfluous class you just took, always cross-reference with your adviser). Im a bio major and I took a political science and deviance sociology class because they sounded fun/interesting. Other practical but not 'fun' classes you could take are foreign languages as mentioned above, ASL, a basic nutrition class, stuff like that

I would say dont overload yourself. If it takes you 5 years to graduate with a major/minor rather than 4, who gives a shit.
