I think I've had decent success with my star WR's over the years.

Which formations and what plays?

I mean Belgarion was a dedicated WR3 but I wouldn't build him again.

S*WR, possession build, out of WR#2 and Slot positions in 2/3/4 WR formations.

So you're in the Slot out of WR3 & WR4, which is pretty much a mirror of the TE routes.

Yes, that's part of it.

Hence why most just make a S* TE.

A S* TE can be a high possession catch rate guy and a decent blocker. On my last run, Hettar had a career 58.2% catch rate.
A S* TE can be a pure possession catch rate guy. That's Durnik who had a career 61.1% catch rate.

A S* WR can be a pure possession catch rate guy. That's Belgarion who had a career 61.0% catch rate.

In short, a S* TE provides more build and play calling options.

Your point about having the same success is valid but most would build a S* TE over a S* WR.

I'm not advocating selecting a S*WR over a S*TE, just saying its doable to have a good one despite popular opinion.

Does it make sense to put both On an Island and Swat Down on a CB? I mean they can't fire at the same time and they have the same activation conditions

I don't think they have the exact same activation requirements... I think Swat Down has more opportunity to fire but a reduced fire rate compared to OAI.

Same. Anyone have any plays with it firing?

Does anyone even have it? They added it to the game after everyone would have, typically, added an ability.

This is why there needs to be a reset option to reassign points when a new ability is added to the game.

It has been firing, there was a bug with sending the id through to the replay, though. Should be fixed for newer games.
