Thank you. THIS is the issue. If you play vs a pure pass team in real life who throws 100% of the time, downfield +10 yards, no way in hell should they constantly complete double and triple coverages. He should be picked off at least 10 times or sacked double digits.

And if you give it to a big running back, no way they should be able to barrel through four defenders and run to the endzone at the speed of an Olympic sprinter, while carrying the ball 50 times.

By the way, Marino's Miami Dolphins would like to have a word with you about Heavy Passing....

Other exemple, if Zone defense was buffed against the pass, RUSHING would also be nerfed, specifically outside rushing, because zone defense here is amazing against outside run, but teams CAN'T use against pass/balanced teams cause the pass coverage is a disaster.

This....which is one reason why this change is awesome

2) Not sure how much more we can build towards the run. Even more, why would we want to have less passes and make rushing more necessary? The unintended consequence of this is cookie cutter teams all doing the same thing. No need to even gameplan, just make a run defense and your set all season long. I could have swore people were happy with last season and the variety we had going on. The Top 5 teams down the stretch all had their own identity and style of play, it was nice and made things interesting.

This is the key, I thought last season was a GREAT Vet season, with good parity and multiple teams having a legit shot at #1 spot. Offense was well balanced.

And yes its a nerf to rushing, not a direct nerf, but it is.

Intercepting buff -> Pass nerf -> Teams can't pass as often or as agressive -> Builds don't need as much as pass defense skills -> Teams don't need to use great pass coverage plays -> Teams need to run more at the same time that teams can focus even more in run stopping -> Even lower rushing effectiveness, which it was already mediocre.

-Significant increase in intercepting without investment, pick 6 potential, way higher intercepting potential with some investment, possibility to high investment.

-Less need to pass coverage skills: More Run stopping skills, secondary with higher BRR and tackling, D-line can lower the investment on pass rushing, etc etc...

Its a nerf to offense in general, now we officially enter The Defense Era.

IDK how much people will lessen their pass cov skills and add to run stopping skills. IMO if anything people are just going to spam more pts into intercepting which means prob a bit less run stopping skills on LB, CBs and safeties - BUT - it absolutely does mean that offensive RNG will be that much more laughable and that elite defense will rule the game (which isnt necessarily un-realistic for defense, but offenses in the sim still run completely un-realistic which is the issue)

set back for pure passing teams this season with the changes, set back for pure rushing teams last season with the changes, but now the problem is the real loser is the balanced teams who now will struggle due to both changes.

elite defenses could already sit back in mlb cloud or sky man and completely shut down inside or outside running and not really have to worry about adjusting gameplans much aside from minor tweaks. only thing balanced offenses could do was out gameplan them with smart/effective passing choices. now this strategy can completely be nullified and end up with LBs with no intercept skills getting random RNG intercepts due to these new vague changes.

basically this will be the era of elite defenses forcing high turnovers and offenses reliant on favorable RNG. not really thrilled or looking forward to it but its going to effect (affect?) everyone equally so w/e lol

this is a prime example of why day one of offseason is the best time for changes to be put in, so we can beat the hell out of it and then they can adjust the 3 days we play around with it. But, like all OP offensive situations this is just a desperate attempt to balance the game. We brought this upon ourselves by abusing the system. I'm okay with the changes.

I think all the crying is hilarious. I've been having to deal with rushing nerfs for several seasons while passing didn't get any nerf. Now passing is nerfed and INTs get a buff (which has been needed for a long time) and everybody is crying...lol. Stop throwing 15 yard passes all game long and you won't throw that many INTs. It's that simple.

Quit crying and fix ur builds

Stop talking about 10 or 15+ yard passes. Anyone who knows how this works realizes that rng ints are for all passes and not just throwing deep. Meaning there is a ton more risk in throwing shorter passes.

- Added an exponential bonus to the chance of intercepting a pass based on how long the defender has been aware of it in the air. This makes long floaty passes far easier to intercept than short fast passes, assuming defender awareness allows them to see it early enough, and they can pass the base interception skill check.

Fix your noodle arm QB build
