That's a good point actually.

99 PRT should blow up 40 PBT on the first tick most of the time. The rest of the time, it should happen on the second tick.

Well it is more than just that. If that were the case, nobody would be able to pass the ball unless you were specifically an all pass team.

Right - definitely makes sense -- and minimal pass blocking skills are currently way too good...

but raise it up and you'll kill chances of a balanced team.

But, it should also be noted that its probably not going to change, i used to try to play this game legit (well i dont play much now but i watch my default plans like a champ) but then I just let Mutley do his thing with the offense. Whether its counters, tosses, passes, power runs, offtackles you can exploit them all if the other team GPs to stop something else. BIG I counter is pretty drastically OP'd but once again much like qb GL rollouts (RIP all who defended this play) its a play RARELY ran in real life and succeeds even less.

There could just be a big coding issue that they dont know how to fix at the moment. Its not like Bort and CO. want any massively OP'd plays, but coding is a bitch and i dont envy them.

hey now my high school offense was built on counters and dives.

This is true. And DE builds are getting better... The DEs on SACKS and HoF are racking up good amounts of sacks. Any solution that doesn't directly hit counter plays is probably insufficient.

40 PBT is not very much. 99 PRT is rare.

I don't think it would kill balanced teams to make 50+ PRT a requirement.

Then again, I also think that blocking SP cost change they did a while ago needs to be amplified.

bhall, not every DL in the game is a S*.

Going through all DL on Whoville and the open builds on Watchers and Green Bay, highest PRT I saw was 89.

I have 88 base or so on non-Star DEs in sophomore, to be cap boosted to 98 eventualky

MEM did a good job of slowing down the Big I Counter against DA today. It didn't help much though since they still lost by 34.

I would wager that you don't possess a significant number of DL dots in GLB2.

fwiw, my DT is also sophomore and he has 89 PRT at the moment. Cap is 91 and I will probably leave him there.

But that is just one dot and hardly relevant.

its not as rare as you think to have 95+ PRT. Omaha's pass rusher had 99 PRT in journeyman last season.

granted in the age of counters dominating, pure pass rusher demand seems rather low. it is always nice to have one though sitting around.
