Your kicker missed 3 FGs from 50+ yards away, thats realistic in the NFL and a normal day in GLB2.

Struggle to stop you? I think you are confusing gaining yards and scoring, only 1 of those matter.

It helped and hurt running at the same time. It really hurt long, outside runs...in some instances.

Here is a perfect example of the problem and fix this change made.

On the first play, look at tick 67. Lando has a clear path to the outside, but he tries to cut or dip or something and loses momentum and comes up short of the 1st down:

On the very next play, Vader takes the handoff on an off tackle play, cuts back inside and jukes the LB for the TD. Last season, he would have been tackled short of the 1st down:

See that first play shows it. The runner is trying to get inside. Checks. Sees defender. Slights out. Straight. Checks. Sees defender. Repeat. Rather than move diagnoally and check at the same time the runner looks like a back without conviction, making all his checks, running, awareness, footwork, one at a time.

At least they could add a slider so we could set the cutback style for each player between "cutback often" (how it is now after the change), "cutback sometimes (middle ground between before and now) or "cutback rarely" (how it was before).

And this is the best reason this change sucks. I agree with you guys now about it killing long outside runs.

Yep, I actually just saw that one myself, it kind of sums up the whole problem in a nutshell. It's 4th and long, you need the player to at least try to get outside for a big gain (heck, that's why you called an outside run), instead he decides to turn inside and essentially take a knee. Awesome.
