I think the real problem here is that Bort doesn't like GLB1. It didn't end up being what he wanted and he hopes GLB2 will be similarly successful while more closely mirroring his vision. That's understandable given his role as creator, but that's where the absence of a competent business partner yet again becomes critical.

What's really crazy is there is a decent portion of this userbase (mostly from countries other than the US) that don't give a shit about football, tried this game out, bought flex, and stuck around.

So that really dilutes the number down to probably somewhere below 15k.

Yep this is the same reason big corporations send jobs over seas to cut their labor costs in half.

You get what you pay for, GLB was making tons of $$$ in its prime and still no advertising was done. Dont play that card the only reason this game is still even able to survive is cause the $$$ us long spent here when the game was fun.
So in reality it would be our money spend on advertising, but oh no lets not do that cause it would take away from borts pockets.

Short minded is the entire GLB staff. Oh well no arguing with these winners cause

as we can all see they are just the best at the best when it comes to running a business

Dear Warrior General Games:

I think you misunderstand your customers to the point of disliking them.

I love this game, and my wallet has shown that and continues to show it.

However, I'm growing frustrated watching this unfold. Stop trying to hold the game hostage by making veiled threats about shutting down the servers if people don't spend money. I spent a lot of money just a few months ago, for the sole purpose of building dots I want to see through plateau, because this site had a sale that I couldn't pass up. That flex was sold to me with the implied understanding that I could use it to bring players through plateau, and I intend to hold you to that understanding.

Whatever you choose to (not) do with this business -- when it comes to advertising, additions, enhancements, upgrades, updates, bug fixes -- is your own business. But don't punish me for your bad business decisions, unless you intend to shut down the whole company or provide me with a refund for not providing the service I paid for.

Dub's back in PW so GLB has no choice but to pay attention to PW leagues.
