Well 20 days ago it was a different game. I could have dropped teams down to cap 14 with tons of cash which may or may not be useful or useless in the future and completed stadium.

These aren't minor changes to the game.

It is very frustrating to pay for one product, not use it right away, then have the product changed to be not what you paid for while others were able to use the product in that way because of a few days difference.

New consumers of the product know what they are paying for but being caught in the middle is balls.

Still seems like half measures, tbh. The archetype change is major, but was imo a lost opportunity to really promote creativity in player building -- if you're going to make a major change to that system, man, there was a lot more than could have been done.

And these other changes are great for cutting off exploits, but the lack of stomach to go after those who abused the system previously is just plain ridiculous. Why stop at just cutting off future exploitation? Deal with the big picture...

I think the main complaint is that yes, teams used to be able to do it, why aren't you dealing with them while also setting these new rules to prevent future exploitation?

Anyway, I like the idea of this in principle - clearing the gutjobs will be a major ++++. Just for teams like my own (November Reign) who just took over from a previous owner in AA and were planning on a demotion in season 15, we just got jacked hardcore compared to a team who did exactly the same thing last season...

Of course that's not the goal - the goal is to give every one a better experience. There are a lot of things that needed adjusted. ALG's and player development was one. Getting teams on a more level playing field was another. Anyone who thinks these changes are here to screw the average GLB user isn't looking at the big picture and is most likely looking at how it only impacts them personally.

no different than someone saying the economy is doing better even if you are the one without a job - to the person without a job the numbers saying the economy is doing better doesn't mean a damn thing

the idea isn't bad

the implementation is marginal - teams that planned to do what was always allowed this off season get caught and are screwed like the ones caught with the mid-off season change about min levels

so you should expect the people that planned to do what was always allowed to be pissed - telling them to suck it up for the "greater good" isn't really a good response IMO

How about compromising to make it fair to teams that were planning on restarting and letting people demote in season 15 and lose their cash but not the stadium?
