They'd be wrong. Most of this isn't even opinion, they empircially do not got insulted for it. They may not like the response it does get, but unless you think that means that we should be forced to care....

i think what's happening here is that what passes for a non-insult for most of the CPL is still very insulting for some.

consider "GTFO".

GTFO is the only exception I can think of, because that does get tossed around a lot (its half-joking, but you can't blame a newbie for not knowing that) but even that isn't so common until someone roctronic's.

Certainly, but not nearly to the degree that they would have you believe or that the general perception suggests. No one has claimed otherwise, I don't think.

There is no counter defense. Just the fact that you can argue that the rules are flouted or you can argue tha tthey aren't. But if you argue that they are, you need to take into account this isn't exclusive to CPL because it literally happens in every forum. Yet we're having this conversation about CPL. So obviously it isn't due to the rule-flouting by itself.

Of course I don't think CPL is perfect or blameless or perfectly smooth-skinned with lavender sweat and taut sweater muffins, I just think hiding behind forum rules while other league forums blatantly break the same rules is ridiculous. The numerous mod raids, the obvious anti-CPL bias, CPL miscast as FFA pt.2, etc., is what bothers me.
