Edit: In my opinion. Consider that I saved $6,000 through the whole process. (Not counting the money that we've saved over the years.) Fighting for $400 just seems pointless. I'm not that petty.
I'll send an itemized list of repairs and ask for him to honor the warranty. If not, fuck it.
But, I do take personal responsibility. So, I'm not saying you're incorrect. I always take personal responsibility for everything, even when it's not my fault. I take the mindset that I should expect people to fuck up. That's why I saved money.
fuck? 400 for a plumbing issue? yeah, you're gettin out pretty decent. had a pump fail in the middle of winter that suddenly cost me a quick 1200 total. of course, that's septic related and not plumbing, but I still had to take a bath in stagnant shit water from a pipe in my basement as I was chasing the problem down. good times.
