Sorry I don't post much, but I just wanted to let you know I read it every time and enjoyed it.

Sorry to hear that JF. I always really enjoyed the write ups.

I can't say Ill do them every week, but ill start with ladder match #1. Lots still undefeated, so I will do the top 10 from last year to start this year. Here is the top 10 at the end of last year.

#1 PORN vs. Omaha Beef. Early season big matchup against 2 of the top teams in Journeyman. While i really really like Beef (the team and steak, sweet sweet steak), and I think they will finish higher than they did last year, I just don't see them taking down PoRN. Porn still the best (ingame and IRL), they win 24-10

#2 Salty Vs. Blackwater bears. Fairly easy pick here as Salty gets a good draw. Nothing against Blackwater, but they just got beat up by the sperm whales. No reason to think Salty doesnt dispatch them fairly easily. Salty Wins 46-7

#3 EEA Vs Bloody Slaughterhouse. Another slobberknocker here. EEA took a GIANT leap forward last year, they are coming off somewhat of a down performance in their first league game. While still one of the top teams in the league, I think Bloody gets revenge for the early loss last year. Bloody wins in a close one 30-27

#4 No Name vs HAHA. The third monster ladder game to start the season. No name nearly knocked off PORN in the final ladder game last year, and started out with an impressive (yet expected) first league win of the year. HAHA looked damn good against the NW storm, completely dismantling a team that gave them fits last year. This game is a pickem and i am literately flipping a quarter right now. No name wins 27-23

#5 HAHA - See above

#6 CP Eagles vs Ive Never had Sex - An amazing year from CPE last year that saw them upset Bloody in the Hannibal championship. To start the year, CPE looked unbeatable in handing ENMU an early league loss. After a few close losses early in the last season (chem issues), they go on an impressive win streak, but ironically it was ended by Sex. They get an early go at each other this year. The virgins looked poised for a better year this year, I just dont think it starts here. CPE 38-24

#7 Bloody - See above

#8 Sperm Whales vs Trenton Devils - A very easy draw for the sperm whales this week. They should win this one without much trouble. Sperm 56-0

#9 BEEF - See above

#10 Virgins - See above

Well thanks for the vote of confidence guys. Let's wait a couple ladder games and see how I feel.

I enjoy the write ups as well jf but I also understand the feeling of doing all of that work for a seemingly small audience thats why I stopped doing it for the current pro tier.

So excited for No Name vs HAHA. I don't think I've ever played another team that makes me think super hard about game planning.

HAHA only runs one formation (although they used to do small amounts of play calling in other formations), but it becomes a nightmare trying to stop what they do since they can inside, outside, off-tackle and throw.

No Name does something similar, but in 4 formations.

Can't wait to see this one. Last one ended in a thrilling last play.

Not thrilled about playing Omaha. Would rather play all rush teams later in the season when there's more games to use for scouting against all the rush buffs that went on this offseason.

Agreed. Given the new changes to ladder though you may end up facing them twice.

And the other benefit is early season ladder games mean virtually nothing unless you're going for an undefeated season or something.

Nice write ups xav. Don't think we beat the virgins as we are all pass defense and can barely tackle

Wow I didn't say anything other than I expected INHS to steamroll CPE and someone downvoted that. Mutley acknowledges the severe beating they got and he gets downvoted too.

Clearly someone hates people praising rushing

LOL

Rushing clearly OP now. The fact our LBers have like 70 tech, 40 power and grip has nothing to do with it.....

Although definitely think QB rushing is back with avengence. With that extra blocked we couldn't even get near him to at least miss that tackle!!
