It will be an interesting season for sure but perhaps they will be on even ground now in terms of effectiveness against good defensive gameplans. Passing may begin to struggle a little bit more but I suspect that it will be due to defenses bolstering their pass defense skills. I am pretty excited about the changes this season and on paper they all seem to be good for the long term health of the game.

Ladder changes are great!!!!!!

I hope teams still have enough run defenders after switching to Passing D these last few seasons.

i dont think passing is nerfed that much. However yes CPE need run defense lol. we struggled before changes

well...I hope ppl realize that we may need about one season to change the defense builds until we see how far the changes went...I dont know about other teams but erkner pretty much focused on pass only on all DBs and all but 2 LBs^^

Definitely some changes I can get behind. Especially the in-tier games toward end of season. Passing wasn't really nerfed all too much it looks like but running probably got the boost it needed.

As for the outside rushing changes (tosses with pulling), it looks like there will be far less huge gains and loses but several more 3 to 6 yard gains. On 4 WR tosses, the tackle now stays in to block the elusive DE and the opposite guard pulls, so only both guards pull now.

Passing was indirectly nerfed if going up against zone.

So what offensive plays have they changed? Did the playart change for them as well?

To be fair my team is also built VERY well to handle these changes with very fast guards/tackles with silver pull specialist, and super fast ballcarriers to take advantage

To be fair they're up against base Ds - so No Name was running ZEB/OWMB/etc. vs them.

Ok I changed my tactics, accidentally had 100 inside run instead of outside so send another scrim if youd like just 100 outside

Totally agree. Had a few Scrimmages today with no game plans just outside runs and that was the first thing I took away. PORN still handled the run extremely well so I wouldn't say the changes made running OP. But yes the TFL's have been reduced and I haven't seen the ghosting yet.

That also wasn't PORN's typical run defense but yeah running definitely looks more competent which is a nice change.

I only watched one game so far but I really like the changes. It still can be relatively easy to shut down the run game if a team is lazy about their gameplan (especially if you just run strong all day) but the holes in defenses that got erased during last season have been reopened a bit now giving an OC something to work with anyways.

Does seem to me that counters are incredibly strong again. Maybe not on par with early GLB2 days but it'll be tough to stop counters regardless of gameplan
