You still haven't answered my question, where in the hell did you come up with this unbelievably bizarre notion that there is a perfect "structure" to a top 40 song? It has now morphed from "success - record sales and blowjobs" to creating utopia. Nickleback and linkin park are showing us the way to no war and no crime. You can't be fuckin' serious.

BTW, I couldn't tell you a single Nback or LP song, I'm sure I have heard one, but I don't know a single person with one of their albums, so I don't "hate" their music, I'm just dumbfounded by your notion of aesthetics. It's high comedy.

wait, you don't understand that there is a specific structure to top 40 pop songs? humans are creatures of habbit, and will be more likely to like something that they're already familiar with. it's why terrible experimental bands like yeasayer or animal collective still live with their parents, while nickelback drive lamborghinis.

Your premise is flawed. The "...er" part of the phrase "smarter" would imply that jdbolick's opinion of his intelligence is subject to fluctuation. That is simply not the case--jdbolick maintains an unmutable confidence in his intellect that is not subject to the peaks and valleys mere mortals face.
