WEEK 9 - LION
1 Fulham Flying Hellfish (9-0) - Fulham handled Wallachia with ease. If they can get by Massawa and CWE in weeks 12 and 13 it's not hard to see them going into the playoffs undefeated.

2 Cagliari Outbreak (8-1) - Another solid win as the Outbreak cruises through a soft part of their schedule. Franchise & Massawa should be the only threats remaining but those 2 games could shape the 2-4 seeds come playoff time so a lot is riding on them.

3 Franchise (7-2) - Franchise is picking up serious steam with a win over the previously undefeated Redhorns. They are looking like a team that will make some serious noise in the playoffs. The early loss to CWE could end up costing them home field in the playoffs and they still have to play Cagliari, San Fran & Wallachia. Wins in all 3 of those will position them for a run at the 2 seed.

4 Massawa Redhorns (8-1) - A big loss for the Redhorns puts doubt into their ability to hold on to the #2 seed. They were manhandled by Franchise and gave up almost 750 yards of offense. Fulham and Cagliari are the biggest threats remaining so they should be able to stay on pace for a home playoff game but any slip-ups against the other teams could drop them a few more in the playoff standings. As it stands I don't see them finishing above 13-3 so I'm dropping them slightly.

5 Carthaginian War Elephants (7-2) - Easy win for the Elephants. They still have a few tough ones left with the Demons and Wamphyri up next and Fulham coming to town in week 13 but outside of that it's a soft schedule.

6 San Francisco Demons (6-3) - The Demons easily overtook Uganda. It's hard to see this team falling out of the playoffs but a win over CWE next week would go far. They still have Franchise in week 14 but I think they can take every other game outside of those 2.

7 Wallachia Wamphyri (5-4) - The Wamphyri are holding on to their playoff hopes by a string. They have yet to beat a top team and with CWE & Franchise remaining they won't be able to let up against anyone or risk falling out of the playoffs by a hair. It's not the toughest schedule and they still have the inside track to make the playoffs but they need to be careful the rest of the season.

8 Sahara Storm (5-4) - The Storm is on pace to be the lucky bastards who draw Fulham in the first round. Is that something really worth fighting for though? They still have to play Franchise, Massawa, Fulham and Cagliari so there's no rest for them this season but an 8-8 record should get them the 8 seed.

9 Sun City Undertakers (3-6) - Sun City is struggling right now and short of pulling out at least 6 wins they appear to be done for the season as is everyone else in the bottom 8. I see at least 4 more losses in their future.

10 Uganda Silverbacks (3-6) - Rough loss for Uganda. Wallachia, Fulham & CWE round out the next 3 but after that things die down a little before finishing the season at Franchise. The best they can hope for is 7-9 at this point and that's optimistic.

11 Zambezi Silverbacks (3-6) - A solid win for the Silverbacks as they stifled LHCs offense just enough to escape with a 2 point win.

12 Kenya Diggits (3-6) - The pass attack proved to be too much for Sterling to handle.

13 LHC Naked Turtles (2-7) - The Turtles struggles to get in the endzone did not help their case in this game. They had to settle for 7 FGs in a game that was decided by two points.

14 West Yorkshire Bandits (2-7) -Another tough loss for the Bandits. They'll get to let off some steam against Ironton next week but then they face the Demons and Wamphyri back to back. There's not an easy game in sight after the Tanks.

15 Sterling Bulldawgs (1-8) - Struggling in every aspect of the game. Hard to see another win this season at this rate.

16 IRONTON TANKS (1-8) - Lost. Rinse. Repeat.

WEEK 9 - ELEPHANT
1 Nairobi Warthogs (9-0) - They've given up double digit points just 3 times this season and are on pace to finish up the season by outscoring opponents by over 1,000 point for the season.

2 Sons of Anubis (9-0) - The Sons are still holding pace with Nariobi and right now TDP looks like the only threat they'll face on the way to that week 15 match-up.

3 The Black Hand (5-4) - TBH is on back on track after a disappointing loss to the Sons 2 weeks ago. ABD and TDP should be the only challenges left this season but the 3 game losing streak early this season could come back to bit TBH in the ass when it comes time to seeding. Either way this is a deadly team and I'm standing by them as the 3rd best team right now even with a 5-4 record.

4 Windhoek White Rhinos (6-3) - If the Rhinos play out the rest of their schedule without slipping up they can finish up 12-4 and probably wrap up the 3 seed. Nairobi is the toughest remaining game but don't overlook ICB.

5 The Dead Presidents (7-2) - A nice win over BSS that saw The Dead hold the ball for over 40 minutes. Sons and TBH are the toughest games left for them. The loss to WWR could cost them some seeding so a win over TBH in week 12 would give them a nice boost.

6 Ivory Coast Breakers (7-2) - Play time is over for ICB. Nairobi is coming to town and the schedule does not get much easier. ABD, Zimbabwe, Kickin start it off easy for them before they wrap up with WWR, BSS and SoA. Plenty of chances for some great statement games but also plenty of chances to take a dive in the standings.

7 Zimbabwe Rebels (6-3) - The Rebels have knocked off 3 straight wins and should be able to make it 4 before they play Nairobi. The last 5 aren't much easier and will shape whether the Rebels make the playoffs or not this season.

8 Black Sea Sunami (4-5) - This could be BSS's shot at moving up the playoff seeding a little. They have a pretty soft schedule the rest of the season starting with the Texans, TAP, Guyana and MEA. Then they have to contend with Nairobi which is surely a loss before wrapping up with ICB and Zimbabwe. It could still be hard to finish better than 9-7 though.

9 Angola Blood Diamonds (5-4) - ABD has to step it up a notch if they want to make the postseason. They still have to play TBH, ICB, Zimbabwe, TDP and Kickin so nothing is guaranteed for them and they could easily fall out of contention.

10 Guyana Generalissimo's (4-5) - Sitting at 4-5 Guyana still has an outside shot at the playoffs. But with WWR, BSS, SoA and TBH still to come the window will close rapidly.

11 The African Predators (4-5) - TAP was down by 3 in the 4th before ripping off 21 points to take the win. It's hard to see them finish any better than 6-10 this season though.

12 Kickin Djibouti (2-7) - Tough loss for Kickin as they took the lead in the 4th only to give up 21 unanswered points and lose.

13 Ron's Texans (1-8) - 2 more weeks of hell before playing the Tigers.

14 MaRAWK!!o Evil Aces (1-8) - Could be a looong time before another win but nothing is out of the question.

15 Darfur Depopulators (1-8) - Not too many shots left for wins but next week is one of those shots.

16 Wrightstown Tigers (0-9) - Done for the season.

WEEK 10 PREDICTIONS
LION

Franchise vs Sahara
Sahara has been good but Franchise is starting to become dominant.

Fulham vs Zambezi
Fulham remains the lone undefeated team in Lion.

Sun City vs Kenya
Both teams are struggling this season but they're still solid squads and this could go either way. I'm going to go with Kenya's air attack here.

Uganda vs Wallachia
The Wamphyri need this win and can't afford to disappoint.

Sterling vs Cagliari
Cagliari is way to go good for Sterling to even be in this one.

CWE vs San Fran
A tough game for both squads. The Demons have impressed this season but CWE has been moreso impressive.

LHC vs Massawa
LHC could use a win right now but the Redhorns need to bounce back from their first loss.

WYB vs Ironton
Bye week.

ELEPHANT
BSS vs Texans
BSS gets things back on track and start kicking off their first win streak.

ABD vs TBH
TBH needs this win to show their record is a farce.

WWR vs TAP
Rhinos are just starting to play some dominating ball and might take this one early but odds are that they will need my magic to come away with a win here.

Kickin vs Guyana
Guyana has shown more promise this season but this should be a solid game regardless.

SoA vs TDP
Without a doubt the best game this week. A few other solid match-ups but this game has a lot riding on it for both teams. SoA escaped with one against TBH and they can't overlook the strong squad from TDP. In the end I see SoA coming away with a convincing win though.

ICB vs Nairobi
Warthogs all the way.

Zimbabwe vs MEA
The Rebels are trying to stay on pace for a playoff spot so expect them to come out and play hard.

Wrightstown vs Darfur
The Tigers don't have many shots at a win this season and this could be one of the few chances remaining. I still see Darfur taking this one though.
