This is a bunch of bullshit. I submitted a fix for this back in S10... and the response I rec'd was "Bort already said he's not gonna take cash away from teams".

So for 5 seasons we've had to play building our stadium from scratch.

And the season we're about to demote they're gonna screw us over and reset our stadium?????


JUST GET RID OF THE FRICK'N MONEY ALREADY. IT'S FRICK'N STUPID IDEA ANYHOW!! COLLEGE AND NFL PLAYERS DON'T BEG THEIR TEAMS FOR EQUIPMENT!!!

So the goal here is for us all to quit, right?

Just making sure.. that's the message I'm getting with the archetypes and the team destruction.

If it isn't, please enlighten.

I mean, from what I've seen the most prevalent complaint is "well teams used to be able to do it!", by which rationale nothing would ever get fixed, so meh

That is a fair statement, but there has to be some cut-off point. If Bort never implemented any changes out of fear that someone would miss out, nothing would ever get done around here.

I agree it is always a good sign they are trying to make th egame better but if a implement is made it needs to affect all who commit the crime including the ones who have already gotten away with it

Who came up with this idea btw? The people all in the pro/world leagues that just want to keep their teams up there instead of having new teams come up?

I think it's quite the opposite. Bort and Co. are finally addressing some things that have needed attention for some time.

I think the main complaint is that yes, teams used to be able to do it, why aren't you dealing with them while also setting these new rules to prevent future exploitation?

Of course that's not the goal - the goal is to give every one a better experience. There are a lot of things that needed adjusted. ALG's and player development was one. Getting teams on a more level playing field was another. Anyone who thinks these changes are here to screw the average GLB user isn't looking at the big picture and is most likely looking at how it only impacts them personally.

Explain it to me like I am 4 yr old please , why is money needed at all ? and why does my contract have to be tied into how my dot plays ?

Why is their so much dot crime in this game are you people not aware that that's where the money comes from ?

These new rules have a glaring flaw... A team with $100,000,000 and a full stadium full of level 6 players in AA will be way better off financially to STAY and slowly rot until their levels catch up with the league than they will to demote to the proper cap.

The cost of upkeep for a level 6 team is basically none, and losing a piece of the stadium per season is way better than losing it all at once. Or you can drop, and make a few million in ticket sales, but never enough to get back to $100,000,000.

How is that solving anything?

Many teams dropped down because they were restarting, they didn't do it to maliciously abuse the cash system, and trying to track down every team that has ever demoted and razing their stadium to the ground would be a nightmare DUCY

Honestly.. I'll take all my cash and throw it out the window, but the STADIUM??!?!?!!?

I worked long and hard building it, sacrificed my own players to help build sections, and now I have to tear it all down?
