To a lesser extent.

This thread is correct. That replay should have been a fumble imo

Better yet, what is the GLB equivalent of a "football move?"

at the same time, most positions require 70+ in their main attribute, so shouldn't WRs need the same?

You notice he doesn't list speed, which should be a WR's main attribute.

I am not saying it's not a problem, but I tend to look at 70-80 Catching as the level at which you catch everything whereas a lot of people seem to think barely above 60 is enough.

The play you linked was on 3rd down. Of course not all 14 plays in question were on 3rd down, but did you ever consider the VA "Mr. Reliable"? Bonus to HOLDING ON TO BALLS. Aka a jackhammer counter.

IMO, the solution would simply be a counter to jackhammer as a VA. Not as strong as jackhammer, but simply a way for WRs to stop it somewhat.

Anyway, there is already a solution. Cap carrying on your WR and stop worrying about getting to 125 speed or whatever WRs are doing at high levels these days, lol. Catching isn't what helps you stop bobbling - CARRYING is. 75 catching, 50 carrying is a totally reasonable need for a position meant to CATCH AND HOLD THE BALL.

If you have 75 catching and 50 carrying, then I stand corrected. But somehow I doubt somebody who got jackhammered 14 times does...

Because that's a given...duh..speed and agility for WR's...who would've thought that.

for a speedster, but possession guys don't have speed as a main, but a secondary, who are the ones that the knocked loose plays shouldn't have as much of an effect on. But most "possession" guys in GLB lack strength/carrying.

Who is to say speed and agility should be the primary for a WR? GLB users have made speed/agility primary for basically every position. That isn't to say the nuances of the game were coded that way... The faster you are, the more vision/catching/carrying you need to be effective. Bort just stated this.

People long have tried to get away with 30 tackling on defensive players, 60 catching on WRs and 30 carrying on HBs. No no no

As soon as the ridiculous number of balls caught in triple coverage is reduced, I'll be on board with this thread.

Knocked loose represents fighting for the ball. Yup, a few look a little late (and should be FFUMs).

If people pushed for a VA to help with this more generically (and not just certain downs), I'd be on board, though.

Without speed and agility for WR's you'll never get away from CB's....not like it matters much now if you do have high rating in those.

My WR with 74 catching, 50 carrying, 60 vision went 2/2 on balls caught knocked lose in his game yesterday.

Jack Hammer works every down, Mr. Reliable only counters jack hammer on 3rd & 4th down.
