Yeah, 2-3 days before game day we had the same "Overall" rating as they did. Game day they jumped 3 points above us.

Then I looked at their depth chart and it wasn't even close to the same. Hell, their backup QB jumped to Level 17. Don't remember him being at 16 two days ago.

I hope you do not think Tallahassee is being cocky. All the posters quoted above are not players for the Semnioles. We do our talking on the field.

I will give Tallahassee that. You don't see them running their jaws about how good they are.

They just go beat people. We could all learn from that.

nah - you guys are pretty classy for the most part. The "cockiness" is mostly relegated to 3-4 posters and 2 of those play for the same team. Not going to call anyone out though, don't see the need or benefit.

Well I come back from the beach today and was hoping to have played 0.500 ball over the weekend...guess not

Anyway, good games to Sphere and the dreaded cuddly death Bears - good come back there just like Cerneo predicted.

No more sneaking into the playoffs with a late season boost, lmao.

Oh well, we were hoping to take out the Care Bears and sneak a #2/3 seed to get a couple home playoff games, but they were much tougher than expected. And our QB's had one of those weird 'no pass goes the way it should' days.

did you guys just boost? You look a lot better than when we played you (more than just natural leveling up)


Yes. We decided to see if we could copy Denton from last year. The entire team postponed boosting except a couple of guys who didn't get the memo...lol. We tried our best to see if we could compete with the other teams for the year. It was close, we lost 3 games by 4 pts, 2 pts, and 1 pt. NY Steel-Heads rolled all over us in the other loss. I was hoping to get into the top 4 for some home field cash, but, man, there are some tough teams in the East this year.

So, we shall see now how this works for the playoff run. If it doesn't, then the good news is we get to stay in this forum for another season. This is a damn fun forum to read.

Shouldn't hurt you in the playoffs as there is no real home-field advantage. You'll probably be better off in the long-run as you guys probably gained a half-level to full level by waiting to boost.

How was I being cocky? I said the Sphere( the team I'm on) "IF" they "upset" (meaning Tallahassee is better than us) The Sphere would show the east champion why stats are meaningless. ( This means the Sphere are not and never will be a statistically pretty team BUT look at their W-L record over the past two seasons and you'll see they are good at finding a way to win regardless of any and all stats.) And I don't think it's cocky to say I think Tallahassee would blow up the Eastern conference champion. In two regular seasons Tallahassee's only loss was during the day that Bort messed up the game with a bug. It was the same bug for both teams but still it has to be seen as a questionable outcome. I don't speak for Tallahassee but I feel I know the western conference pretty well and feel confident that Tallahassee is better than any team from the east. But if the eastern champ beats them it just makes your victory that much sweeter and I will tip my cap to you. And if this makes the eastern conference guys get extra fired to beat the Sphere, I really don't care because at that point the Sphere would have surpassed my own expectations and that is all I'm ever hoping for anyways. Everything else is just gravy.

At these levels, boosting early vs boosting late didnt make at much difference. its a matter of your schedule.

If my team, roughtnecks, omaha and a few other teams didnt boost early, we prolly wouldnt have made the playoffs.

Even tho we boosted early i think the bears are a team no one wants to play. and we help make alot of people not make the playoffs.

so its really a roll of the dice.

Absolutely agree. We had no choice but to boost those of us who could. It was the only way we'd stay competitive in this league.

Now we are humbly hoping not to get embarassed again by "MB"

Not all of our guys have boosted...there wasn't a mandated "boost now" order issued...if players can boost they boost...some have just started boosting, some likely won't boost at all because they play on RL budgets.

I dont mean it like that... im talking about team plans... my plan was to boost from the get go. We were all lvl 7's when the season started and were behind alot of teams we started off with right off the bat. so we had too

Its always a tough call to make, but if you can make the call as a "team" I think thats the most important factor... (not including the people who can't boost because of budgets)
