wow that blows, and i just failed my inspection for the tread on my windshield wipers being worn more than an inch...or some shit

That is the case in most states, as it can indicate an emissions issue, even though it seems like the most common culprit is the gas cap.

If you ever have to pass emissions tests, then just leave an 1/8th of a tank of gas, and buy 3 bottles of gas dryer and put it in the tank. Ethanol burns cleaner than gas, and will pass emissions with flying colors...

I failed the DC emissions test and did nothing to fix my car because I moved to Illinois instead where there isn't an emissions test.

maybe it varies form county to county. some of the more rural counties in NC dont require an emissions test(they still require an inspection thou, its just for other shit)

Car is 100% dead now. No charge on the battery, can't get the alternator to even move, nothing works. I paid $7000 for 1 month of use of an old car.

AAA, who I pay a shit ton to for their premium service, tells me the things included in my premium service (namely same-day free of charge rental car and a shuttle) are not available today and their 'immediate response team', the people who jump the car and look at it, are over an hour away.

Yep. They said it was 'junk signals' and nothing was actually wrong. They cleared it, but it came back on not too long after the 4WD got fixed, they said it was still fine.
