Philosophical/technical question, unfortunately I haven't won anything from suing anyone. But when I hear of judgements against people who obviously do not have the money they were judged to owe, like civil or criminal suits where someone is ordered to pay a few hundred thousand to their victims, how/when does the person get the money that the defendant doesn't have?
There are countless court cases where more than 1 party is found to be at fault.

That probably doesn't help much. Your real answer is to go take a law class, there's no adequate summary you'd get.

Insurance usually comes into play on that front.

To tie this into your lawsuit question, the only time I ever had to appear in court for real estate I was quizzed heavily over my use of the term "Shady". We probably spent 30 minutes with me on the stand over it.
