- Diving and Vertical now affect respective catch rolls
- Significantly reduced chance of falling after catch
- Increased balance loss after catch
- Velocity loss from being off balance can now be mitigated by footwork
- Increased coverage cushion against relatively faster players
- Players in coverage more reliably open up when cushion collapses
- Deeper passes now burn more energy, based on Pass Power
- Deeper passes now lose accuracy, based on Pass Power
- Greatly increased balance recovery while carrying the ball
- Quality of diving tackles more influenced by diving skill
- Increased acceleration and deceleration while backpedaling
- Improved/Modified Kick Return play design to use a less rigidly-scripted blocking scheme, for more variety on returns
- Changed returner path choices on kick returns to be a bit more "decisive"

Come on Bort make up my mind. Nice and early at least.

I think these could be some good changes, if they are implemented correctly. They seem to answer a lot of the concerns Ive seen in forums recently.

sidenote if every offseason started with all those changes and ended with like 10 new plays it would be sick bros.

changes look good, I'm interested to see em in action though. Hopefully you don't need 90 vert to make a jumping catch. I'm glad throwing power has a purpose now, it's always been funny/frustrating seeing DB's just stare at a noodle arm QB leave the ball in the air for 5 seconds and just letting the WR catch it, hopefully this counteracts the awful pass coverage by making the passes themself less reliable.

Also, sent out scrims to everyone in journeyman that has the option on. I'm just leaving the default playbook in I've been using, feel free to send requests our way if you wanna see the changes in action vs how it looked during the season

im hesitant to take throwing power seriously. if you are telling me QB's can't throw deep without throw power into the 60+ range just like people can't run in a straight line without falling down like a toddler than rookie is going to suck "bigly".

Yeah, I agree. Gonna have to wait and see how it all plays out. On paper though, IF balanced properly, it feels like we're going in the right direction where most skills have a purpose, as long as it's not the old "you need 90 balance to run without falling" direction

looks like a pretty good list, dont see a free respec though. i guess $$ for a good batch of changes that came before season day 1 is not the worst trade off

maybe if we all just keep posting free respec in bold they will cave haha
