I saw that. Not even boosted up all the way. No idea what his build looks like or the defender builds that he was racking them up on though. Need more examples with opened builds to take guesses on what is and is not impacting these interactions.

I mean, it's pretty obvious when you look at builds.
Like, your guys getting 10+ revcakes have less than 100 combined Pass Block Power, Run Block Power, and Balance in Veteran. If they're getting bowled over, it seems like it is working as it should.

Why would run block power matter? The change notes specifically say this change to the balance skill relates to pass blocking only. Is this change also affecting run blocking and if so, was that intended?

Good question. My guys get pancaked run and pass blocking.

Like I said, it is a major shift from what was previously working well. I do like the changes but it drastically alters the landscape on what builds could get away with. It just really hurts those that just got to Vet ball and can only make minimal adjustments next season as a result. Our builds were pretty solid last season. I understand that tech was taken advantage of with power/balance/intimidation playing less of a role previously but the change is huge for those players that were built under the old rules.

I assume the biggest difference is the consecutive tech rolls won change. Now with even high tech skills, OLineman will absolutely lose tech rolls throughout the game and power/balance will be checked more as a result. DLineman simply have far cheaper BRB/HG/PRT/PRP than OLine blocking skills so OLine is at a disadvantage there especially early.

Thank you for the response, please go ahead and edit/add-to the change notes to more accurately describe the changes made to blocking this season, especially as they relate to run blocking.

yes just like those same guys were giving up literally near zero rev cakes a game for seasons and seasons up until a just 24 hours ago when the changes hit? of course we should have all had ESP and spent thousands of SP into stats that provided zero rewards for seasons and seasons while we awaited these changes, c'mon man! lol
fwiw our team has well more than 100 combined pass block power, run block power, and balance on our OL and we still gave up about 50+ rev cakes a game so far. however, it is balanced as we have also had about 50 pancakes a game. im sure with higher block power it would start to look a bit more realistic as far as the rev cakes/cakes totals. all in all, much better results than other teams ive seen so far so i cant complain.
i think as a whole, we are saying good changes, good direction for the future, but adding them right before the off-season ended without extending a day or two for us all to test, respec or adjust however we can, etc, was a very silly process and now we can see the comical effects all over the place with 100+ rev cakes per game, per team.

I think you are probably correct with this assessment. O-lines, especially balanced ones, are going to have a rough time of it for a while. Seems like a slight nerf to balanced offenses.

It seems like it's only the CPU players beating up on the current batch of players for 100+ revcake games. Which is kind of funny, but probably a good sign that "useless skills are now useful".

That is for now... Vet teams will not be able to adjust to this change nearly as well as others... Even after rocking respec's next offseason, we simply will not be able to maximize our cap boosters like others... This one really hurts the future prospects for vet teams against those that will be able to properly adjust.
