Look at those averages in their 4 losses and you will see a different story.

it's not "running is impossible" so much as it's "running against competent defensive teams is impossible". You just flat out can't shut down a passing game the same way you can with the running game.

Am I out of the loop? I thought the new cut upfield changes improved things? FSM's rushing attack is (so far) definitely better than last season.

One issue, and I seriously doubt it's the only or even main issue, is Defensive Builds.

I find it much easier to build anti-run defenders than anti-pass. Of course the builds could look strong/weak because of sim issues.

At this point, it would be nice to know if Pass D builds could be significantly improved or if it's just sim logic.

Hmm, let's see.

Hub: 2.4
Southside: 6.6
MEM: 5.9
Logzilla: 7.7

The Hub game looks like an outlier.

HAHA is endeavoring to find out. Very curious how well we do when we hit Vet. The Pass D builds will be pretty different from what FSM has. Actually, now that I think about it, both the Pass and Run D builds will be wildly different.

You are correct. I was mixing them up with GA against MEM.

I wonder if the cut inside changes are still too new for pure rushing teams to figure out a sweet spot for tactics?

Yeah I was very surprised I gave up 7.7 ypc with my D. But I did.

Man I love the new inside cut. It's great for quick power backs like Jabba.

further proof that QB build doesn't mean jack shit, it's literally all about surrounding cast + playcalling.
