Independent teams have a different feel to them, and the more you have, the more colorful the league becomes. .

. Colorful is not always better. Plenty of guys talk trash coming to WL and don't accomplish anything.

see the above poster to your post, colorful can mean suck ass too

i get that alot. then i wonder how the hell does rotating defenses work so well

i probably spend as much time for all my times as most independents do for 1 team

I never knew how that worked. Do you care about one team more than the other? I just figured it'd make you care even less about each outcome if you have 4 teams and if one demotes or 2-3 get knocked out in the 1st round it doesn't matter that much because you still have another team or 2 left in the playoffs. I thought having all your eggs in one basket would make you more invested in the outcomes. Though it is nice to have more games to watch.

honestly most top DCs realized long ago (where long ago is a sliding scale) that trying to be very creative on D is a recipe for failure. maybe it was when all the new formations came; i dunno. but eventually you learn that unless you are completely out in left field, the diff in a 10 min game plan and a 45 min job isn't that measurable.

its a combo of the sim and the OCs. each season there are a few plays in each formation that everyone uses; contain those (it's difficult to stop anything cold anymore) and make sure the scheme is strong enough for anything else in that formation ... and now your AI is done till playoffs (at which point you may or may not care more).

you got your boring C2/C3 fall back with auto-adjust and now you are a top level DC.

this game is not very complicated.

Yeah, I miss the days when DCing meant crafting individual gameplans for particular opponents based on what plays they liked to use. Now everything is pretty much interchangeable, I just use tags to dictate how I want to play dots from different teams.
