WEEK 8 - LION
1 Fulham Flying Hellfish (8-0) - Just finished putting those Turtles back in their shells.
2 Massawa Redhorns (8-0) - Feeling vulnerable yet? Great victory in OT over Sun City but really was not expecting it come that close.
3 Cagliari Outbreak (7-1) - What an offensive showcase from both teams. Hell of a running game was on display. In the end the 14 point lead Outbreak has in the 1st Q proved to be the deciding points in the end.
4 Carthaginian War Elephants (6-2) - I can't remember two teams shredding each other on the ground as much as CWE/Outbreak did in the last game. CWE couldn't grind it out with Cagliari though as they took an early deficit they could not overcome.
5 Franchise (6-2) - Ho-hum. That was a boring warmup for Massawa and right now Franchise must be liking their chances a lot.
6 San Francisco Demons (5-3) - Over 750 yds of offense against Wallachia helped overcome their early mishaps.
7 Wallachia Wamphyri (5-3) - Somehow the Wamphyri lost a 14 point 1st Q lead and saw it dwindle to a 1 point lead before the end of the 1st half. Then they were outscored 31-49 in the second half to take a huge loss.
8 Sahara Storm (4-4) - Just a straight up whooping they just put on Sterling.
9 Sun City Undertakers (3-5) - What is it with this team and close games. A few plays going differently and they could easily be 5-3. Way to stay in there with Massawa until the very end.
10 Uganda Silverbacks (3-5) - Easy win. Won't be anything easy the next 4 weeks though.
11 LHC Naked Turtles (2-6) - A more suitable match-up in their next game. Not going to be an easy one though.
12 Zambezi Silverbacks (2-6) - This is most likely the last shot at a win in the next 3 weeks. Zambezi's seen improvement lately but is it enough.
13 Kenya Diggits (2-6) - Nice win for the Diggits as they got some strong output from their defense to finally match their offense.
14 West Yorkshire Bandits (2-6) -Stifled by Kenya as the offense had problems putting up points and the defense could not contain Kenya's passing game.
15 Sterling Bulldawgs (1-7) - Sterling looks to be getting set to start packing up their bags for a trip to demotionland.
16 IRONTON TANKS (1-7) - Lost. Rinse. Repeat.
WEEK 8 - ELEPHANT
1 Nairobi Warthogs (8-0) - Easy win.
2 Sons of Anubis (8-0) - I feel for the Hand right now. Sons escape with a 1 point win after a missed XP with 1 minute left in the game.
3 The Black Hand (5-3) - After being up by 10 at the half, not to mention holding the Sons to just over 100 yards of offense, somehow TBH loses this one by 1 point in the last minute of the game.
4 Windhoek White Rhinos (5-3) - Solid win over the Dead Pres. as the Rhinos jumped all over them in the first half to take a 21-0 lead.
5 The Dead Presidents (6-2) - TDP struggled to put up any points in the first half and that made it too hard for them to bounce back.
6 Ivory Coast Breakers (6-2) - Tied up after 3 quarters but ICB exploded for 21 points in the 4th Q to come away victorious.
7 Zimbabwe Rebels (5-3) - The Rebels overpowered TAP with a strong running game for a solid win.
8 Black Sea Sunami (4-4) - Handled Darfur as expected. That won't be so easy with TDP up next.
9 Angola Blood Diamonds (5-3) - At 5-3 one would think ABD has a sure playoff spot but looking back at their schedule those 5 wins came against Kenya, TAP, Guyana, MEA & Wrightstown. Not exactly 5 teams tearing through the conferences. With Nairobi, TBH, ICB, Zimbabwe, TDP & Kickin remaining the Diamonds will have to play at their best to avoid an 8-8 finish.
10 Guyana Generalissimo's (4-4) - Still looking to see that first win over a top quality team.
11 The African Predators (3-5) - The defense couldn't stop the Rebels running game as they fell for the third week in a row. It's not out of the question to see them dropping the next 4-5 games either.
12 Kickin Djibouti (2-6) - A strong running game led the Djibouti to pick up the second win of the season.
13 Ron's Texans (1-7) - The Texans started off nicely but then fell apart quickly.
14 MaRAWK!!o Evil Aces (1-7) - Easy loss.
15 Darfur Depopulators (1-7) - Next up are the Sons so not expecting much for another week.
16 Wrightstown Tigers (0-8) - Done for the season.
