No, it will not (except for maybe the stadium decay rules). It would be pretty hard to sort out who's who, even if we wanted to do something to existing teams.

I'm pretty sure you could run a query by league level and sort by cash holdings and get a pretty damn good idea of who's who. Once you shortlist, you could run another query that against those teams and if/when they were demoted.

Its extra work, it isn't hard.

I wonder if you had the same thought about the last announcement before it was changed.

Because the cash will still have use to a team.

TBH then there really shouldn't be any cash , no ?

We didn't punish anyone who abused the cash system retroactively mainly because of the problems it entailed and the complaints posted about doing so.

Even worse....

As far as the last announcement was concerned, I felt that targeting "mergers" was failing to aim at the proper issue, and I took issue with the announcement to retroactively punish people based on poorly documented rules because I feel like it could create a "witch hunt" scenario, but I agree with the actual intention of the change tbh.

That is a fair statement, but there has to be some cut-off point. If Bort never implemented any changes out of fear that someone would miss out, nothing would ever get done around here.

Thats ok but even in college teams still have uses for cash but if the players cant use it then why give it to them??Yes a players moral but other than that why use it there are tons of other things that affect morale

+1 doesnt make sense to me at all but i guess we havent heard the full idea yet..i feel if the player is going to have a cash contract there needs to be something to spend it on

Thanks for the advance warning and all.

It's day 16. How much advance warning do you need? Four seasons?

because he built up his team to be able to start putting players on it and now cannot demote to a level 14 league and do so without wasting the flex he spent getting the team where it is

http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=7011

day 16 for a change that people cannot do anything about isn't actually early notice

the "earliness" of a notice is dependent on whether people can react to it or people get caught by it - same for the min levels last season

Oh, but the people who were pissed off about the last announcement because they felt like they had some god given right to siphon cash from another team to fund equipment were pretty funny too, to answer your question more precisely.

Geez man why does every change screw the dot builder ?

In the proposed new system, the player doesn't accumulate cash, since it is worthless to him. His salary amount is used to determine any effects on his morale.

Since the cash then doesn't travel with the player, the team gets no benefit from loading him up.

So you find it lolworthy that people care enough to point out the flaws but you like that people point out the flaws? Good work.

You implement the change and you don't worry about hurt e-feelings over retroactive "punishment". I use that word loosely as the it isn't really a punishment to start everyone off on a somewhat even-playing field after a major change, but that's a point this game has failed to address more than once.

You can view the premise of the idea in more detail in the Test Server Discussion forum.
