Nope. Two teams merging in order to avoid disappearing completely isn't collusion. Shuffling a big network of players and cherry-picking certain ones to go on the flagship team each season is more like collusion. That and funneling equipment money, of course.

Grand Banks and Providence weren't competitive WL teams. They weren't WL teams at all. In fact, both were on life support and likely to go away. Now if the Blaze had absorbed some team that was similarly going to rebuild or just go CPU, then that would be perfectly understandable, but that's not what happened. They took a series of teams and tried to choose the dots from that collection who would make the best individual roster, along with providing those dots with as much equipment money as possible. That's why I said the Blaze are the "best team collusion can buy.," because they are.

Now is it cheating? Well the mods & admins had a big discussion about the Blaze and decided to allow it, so that certainly suggests that it's not. But at the same time, it's clearly on the shady side, otherwise there wouldn't have been a discussion about them at all. Who knows, Chocolate might finally collude their way to the title. I for one picked them to win, but I did last season as well.

So when Grand Banks and Providence colluded to merge, was the process to sit back and take some good dots, some bad dots and some great dots or did the agents work to put together the best team possible based on builds to create your best roster? Wild guess here, but I am thinking you tried to create a roster made up of the best players that would allow you to compete at the highest level. You can't have it both ways...

Actually we took the dots we had left between the two teams and had enough holes left over that we had to recruit even more players to fill the gaps. Grand Banks wouldn't have been folding without some agents quitting GLB, and Pariah was overloaded with flex commitments as it was. Trying to compare the two is just silly.

Look, I'm sure there are other teams that picked 55 dots from a network of teams and tried to create a super-team, I just don't know any others besides Chocolate, and I certainly don't know any who are as good as the Blaze. Hence why they are the "best team collusion can buy."
