Looking back at this I have to disagree to a certain extent after giving it some second thoughts. If ladder isn't to crown a champ then what the hell is the point? What is the point of any non-vet teams to even participate in the ladder if we don't care who finishs the tier at the top? We don't play this game for participation trophies. We play it because we want to strive to be the best team in the tier at the end of the season. And on that note if PORN ends up not finishing #1 because we lost to Pro teams while another team wins because they play seasoned or relatively easy journey teams I'm not going to be a happy camper.

I've been preaching this for a long time.

Don't think that's right. If they lose a game in-tier their ELO loss will be fairly large. HAHA was #1 for almost all of Sophomore, had a global edge of something like 9 or 10 to the 2nd place team (PORN), lost to Salty for the only loss of the season (at that point), and PORN immediately leapfrogged us.

We then dropped two more games to Top 5 competition (No Name and Salty again) and finished 5th in the ladder despite only 3 total losses (including playoffs). Late season losses to a team ranked below you just murder your ELO.

His numbers should continue to improve a bit, I think the 50 chem starting point held him back for the first few games. Quickness is the priority next season, by the end he should be at 96 Quickness waiting on that final Cap Booster to put him at 100.

Actually you lost to Salty and were still #1 - you dropped to #2 after No Name beat you.
