It was already pretty bad. I'm not sure why we needed to buff offense to repeat plays. The only people who were upset was rookie level and this doesn't help them at all.

I'm pulling my hair out as a DC this season because every blitz or coverage I throw at guys is obliterated by pass.

We have guys with 100 condition/90+ deflection/90+ man aware still not able to contain a regular wr at wr2 or wr3. It seems to end up being blind luck whether you do contain someone 3 straight throws.

You get to vet level and you can't blitz people anymore for shit because the qbS are just ridiculously good. They don't even need oline skill because the passes are just so fast.

Hmm, actually found it easier defending the pass with my Vet team this season. I do think the plays to use shifted a bit though. I don't really throw the same defenses I did 2 seasons ago since the sim changes.

Think 3 seasons down the line when all those superstars have golden 3-4 plays and silvered most the other good ones.

Can't say I follow you here. There is clearly a huge difference in FG Power when watching all the games. Unsure if there is a distinct difference between say 40 and 100 though. I guess you would have to make a 100 power kicker and start trying 70 yard FG's.

The difference between pass power at 20 and 60 is quite big too... I notice passes travel a lot faster and sharper, though not sure if this helps a lot? Might help avoid PD's, I've a feeling it does, with defenders having far less time to adapt to the path of the ball

It's the opposite. Faster, lower trajectory passes get deflected more. Higher pass power actually helps the defenders deflect the pass.

I would go to 50+ on all my QBs if it wasn't so expensive. Really useful on long throws, and with the decrease in receiver drops doesn't hurt efficiency like it used to.

Can't say I agree one bit with this. Any time I get a QB with over 50 in it, it results in more deflections, ints, and over throws.

Been a while since I rocked a QB with a higher pass power. I have noticed that having too little power can allow the DBs to have enough time to close whatever gap there may have been on a receiver which can cause more unable to catch due to traffic or PDs. I also believed that many seasons ago that my lower pass power QBs were a bit more prone to PDs from DLineman. I never did anything more than give it the standard eyeball test game to game though. As much as I would like to see QBs hit the receiver in stride more often like the play linked above what seems to allow passing to work is the WR coming back to the ball and the DB having little chance to react fast enough which results in uncontested rolls fairly often.

this, I used to think this way, but now I know it was a pretty flawed way to build a QB. I had 50 power in my QB and he sucked at long throws, it had 0 positive impact on deep plays.

Hmm I'm curious now, may test out another PuP QB. I tried it out before and liked what I saw. I wonder if there are any current 50+ pass pwr QBs aorund currently?

Have a 95 power guy here in case anyone wants to see - pick up player so kind of worthless

Team America's passing QB two seasons ago had 100 Pass Power. I was pretty underwhelmed.

You could definitely see the extra power sometimes, but I'm not even sure it was a net positive for all those skill points.

I definitely prefer the 15 Pass Power or whatever TA's running QB has now.

Not for me, my kicker don't need at all to <55yds, but even if you're right, should 20 FG power kickers be able to kick 50 yds? Not in my opinion.
