Yup, they picked a good game plan against your defense. You have a good overall defense but you can get picked apart by quick reading passing teams.

GG Fury, How that game started I thought for sure we were going to win. Then all of a sudden, we couldn't get pressure on you for anything. GG!

Has nothing to do with zone. It has to do with the WRs always catching passes falling down so there is no chance for a knock loose or fumble. Agents deliberately put 0 points into balance just so the WR can catch the ball and fall down. There should be a huge penalty if catching while falling down.

GE I deliberately went full pass so I could take on your zone... you lost 43-13, can you really complain about potentially knocking loose what, maybe 5 passes? Can't you say good game, well played?
Amd balance is a neglected skill, but strip technique is also, and it works great vs receivers falling down, more so than power tackling in this scenario. So maybe you've neglected a skill as well?
Also we averaged 9 yards average with the pass, we just went full pass attack and as it doesn't wear down the clock as fast we got a lot of attempts. So 700 yds passing isn't unreasonable vs zone defense when you have nearly 80 passing attempts

Not necessarily, I don't think there should be a huge penalty. Think about actual football, if the QB can see that his Receiver is a position to take a big hit that could possible cause a fumble or get the ball knocked loose, he'll put the ball low to protect his guy. That's a tactical adv!antage, much like you've taken the route of hard hitting zones to knock the ball loose as your tactical advantage.
How about the hardcore lower the QB running ability and power running skills? You can run all over tons of people with those 2 things, but someone that adjusts their game plan can beat it. You just don't build for being able to adjust, you're built to try and excel at one thing and hope it never loses. I commend that though, Vince Lombardi, greatest coach of all time and Greatest Coach of my Team's History (Go Pack Go!), was a lot like that. I'm not quoting, just summing it up, but he had stated that he is only going to call a handfull of plays. The other team knew exactly what play he was going to run half the time, but he trained his team so well on those plays that the opponent couldn't stop it more often than not. The Packer Sweep, Greatest Play in Packer history! Opponents knew it was coming but were helpless to stop it!

I agree to an extent. I've been experimenting with zone on rusty and it's sad how little you can get zone shark to fire because nobody stays on their feet enough to make use of it. Better off just using monster hit all by itself to force fumbles.

That is what I am doing, combined with power tackle. It's time to start loading up on pass defense.

If we are complaining about SAs with limited use because of how the game works we can easily expand this. Zone is a boom or bust defense though and you have to snag INTs with it in pass defense to offset the high completion rates if you are going to rock it. I understand the frustration of zone and all that but when you go in to building a zone team you should have a pretty good idea what you are getting yourself in to these days as zone weaknesses have been fairly well documented at this point.

I am working with a defense that can both run all zone or all man though. But the zone part of it won't work if I don't have the opportunity to force a fumble or a KL because the WR's just fall down and never try and get YAC. At the very least Zone Shark should have no under zone variable. It should just be in zone. Because the best possible chance of seeing it work is gonna be over the top and not underneath.

Shouldn't the QB have like 90 accuracy to do that?

Same with EOTP.
