They should really let you switch out a FB for HB. Don't understand why you can't do this. That will allow you to go with 1 blocking FB, 1 HB and 1 Hybrid FB, who could sub for the HB.

OK, to prevent 1 HB, 2 FB rosters.

Its the same reason you can't have DEs playing LB or DTs playing DE. If a player costs more in terms of flex and/or cap space they can't play at a "cheaper" position. This prevents exploits.

Sure you can, just use the 5-2 formation. The Right DT can be any position on the defense, and the Left DT "can't", but I use quotes because I've seen linebackers there routinely.

haha i have used this before with high pressure des even with the out of position part they still are better pass rushers that dts.

I'd hold off on that, Diamond formation really needs some more running plays for the WFB. You and Virgins should get together and campaign Bort/Corndog for more offensive plays out of Diamond.

Maybe keep a rushing FB on a CPU team ready to switch over to your real team if new plays get added a few seasons from now?

It definitely does. A Strong Sweep with the FB and HB Lead Blocking would be nice. Ill open a suggestion about it


GG Eagles. Havent ran an offense like that all season, hoped I could catch yall off guard. Didnt count on the FB finally coming of his shell. Maybe we can be a bit less predictable now

There are so many cool rushing ideas that could happen out of Diamond. It's a shame that Diamond is a formation that's barely even got anything in it.

Outside rushing:
Zero FB plays
Zero weakside FB plays
Two HB plays

Offtackle rushing:
Zero FB plays
Zero weakside FB plays
One HB play

Inside rushing:
One FB play
Two weakside FB plays
One HB play

Only one play where a Guard pulls (Outside - HB Counter Weak)
Only one counter play (see above sentence), you'd think with 3 guys in the backfield, there'd be some cool shenanigans that could happen, but there's nothing even there.

Ya I have built a number of power and rec FB's since Diamond Formation came about hoping it would get some offensive plays to accompany the strengths of those builds but my power FB's have passed now and my first batch of rec FB's as well. Hoping that before this last set of rec FB's plays out something will come through.

you said it...itrs not guaranteed, so why even post it? I play this game for a while and guess what: I noticed DEs get put in most of the time. But that doesnt have to do with my question
