Edit: Kinda surprised ICE tables are apparently more universal. I thought that was just something my chem teacher was pulling up as a template type of thing
god no, ICE tables are THE way to do equilibrium problems in general. largely, they do what I talked about above, at least give you a starting point if you're stuck. even if you don't end up 'using' it, it makes for a convenient way to display the information
