Well, not a good week as far as my predictions of the games of the week went.

In what looked on paper to be a pretty good matchup, the Ehs marked right in to Great Bear Lake Stadium and rushed for over 300 yards on their way to a complete dismantling of the Bandits 41-6.

Perhaps fueled by the loss to the Anti-Mod Squad, Willow Creek rebounded nicely by taking a 28-7 lead into halftime against the Chesseburgers, who could never get it any closer, as the Phantoms ran away with the 42-14 win at home.

My only predicted game of the week that was any good was the matchup between the winless Boob Punch and winless Fire. With a one point lead going into the fourth quarter, the Fire then put 14 quick points on the board en route to their decisive, and much needed 21-13 victory.

With that lead-in, the rankings have been updated following the Week 7 games. As usual, you can find all the details at: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pOUigrsS32wLmojgT-lbtfQ&hl=en#.

The Rankings Summary for the WESTERN conference:

RANK TEAM - RATING (Change)
1 New Jersey Hood - 11.632 (--)
2 Oh Canada Ehs - 10.976 (+1)
3 Thunder Bay Bloodhounds - 10.314 (+1)
4 YellowKnife Bandits - 10.020 (-2)
5 South Jersey Rotobowl Rice Riders - 9.979 (+3)
6 Ft. Richardson Rangers - 9.952 (-1)
7 The Anti - Mod Squad - 9.837 (--)
8 Saskatoon Spitfires - 9.197 (-2)
9 Prince George Bulls - 8.218 (--)
10 Moose Jaw Blazers - 8.021 (+1)
11 AU Tigers - 7.158 (-1)
12 Hill City Heat - 6.025 (+2)
13 Alberta Express - 6.015 (-1)
14 West Coast Trojans - 5.960 (+1)
15 Nova Scotia Curlers - 5.766 (-2)
16 Chilliwack Thrashers - 3.829 (--)

The Rankings Summary for the EASTERN conference:

RANK TEAM - RATING (Change)
1 Medicine Hat Witch Doctors - 12.080 (--)
2 Canadian Bacon - 11.708 (--)
3 Willow Creek Phantoms - 11.650 (--)
4 Prince Edward Island Sharks - 11.122 (--)
5 Paradise Cheeseburgers - 9.616 (--)
6 Lumberjack City Yaks - 9.305 (--)
7 Moose Jaw Mice - 8.458 (+2)
8 Edmonton Moose - 8.161 (--)
9 Vancouver Valiants - 8.065 (-2)
10 Sherbrook Colonels - 7.783 (--)
11 Aspermont Roughnecks - 6.952 (--)
12 Hudson Bay Trappers - 6.847 (--)
13 Halifax Fire - 6.012 (--)
14 Fort Myers Mustangs - 4.965 (--)
15 District Challangers - 4.793 (+1)
16 Old Milwaukee Boob Punch - 4.615 (-1)

The must see upcoming games of the week:
West: Thunder Bay (3) at Ft. Richardson (6) (Who can gain the advantage for that 3rd spot in the West?)
East: Willow Creek (3) at Canadian Bacon (2) (Both teams will improve their abysmal schedule strengths with this game, but can the Bacon avenge their playoff loss last year and prove they belong among the ranks of the unbeaten?)

The Colonels beat the Moose and they both stay in the same position? That's weird.

That is strange.

Strange, but seemingly accurate. There was a pretty good-sized gap between them in the prior ranking, which has narrowed considerably.

In the last ranking they were in the exact same positions they're in now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not concerned or upset or anything, it just amuses me.

That's because the gap I was talking about was between the formula numbers that the ranking is based upon. The gap between the numbers decreased even if the rankings remained the same.

While I enjoy seeing us on top have you taken a look at Medicine Hats roster? WOW. I guess with Willow Creek beating them that hurts them, but I think they are the team to beat in the East! We will give them everything we have real soon though

Anti-Mod has the toughest schedule ahead of them compared to the current top two teams in the west.
