Nice game Fiji.

Fiji looked strong against the Bearcats. They won the turnover game, and we couldn't recover.

They are moving up near the elite teams.

Thx, good game, it would be nice to think we are moving up the ladder. I'm just content to play each game as well as we are.

Personally, I think they made it there a season or so ago.

Bearcats, I gotta say this is one game I really wanted. Last two years we came up short against you guys. We've had wins against all the other teams in the division except you guys, so this one means a little more than an ordinary regular season win.

Still, it's just the regular season. If we meet again when the playoffs start, I'm sure there will be a trick or two waiting for us.

There's the opinions of others, and then there's the numbers. Last season, I understood why we got short-changed in the eyes of spreadsheets. We were a defensive-minded team that would grind out a 13-9 win. But with the changes Bort made for this season, we've been able to move the ball. Still, spreadsheets have us at 10 or so. Maybe it's levels, maybe it's some category of stats we don't excel at. Whatever it is, it don't matter. It's like college basketball polls. Fun to talk about, but there's a playoff at the end to settle it all.

Here's hoping Fiji can make it further than before.

I am wondering what the proper lesson was. : dunno :

I was quite surprised at the outcome of that game.

Good game. Trust me, we are all still trying to figure many lessons with these tactics. We never know what will happen everytime we try something new.

Im sure we will meet again this season. Good luck the rest of the season!

Yeah, new tactics = new headaches, especially when game play can change from day to day without notice. What worked once no longer does, and vice versa.

No worries though, we will get it figured out.

There is no spoon...

I hear you. We went from allowing 2 TDs last season to 11 in eight games this season. Our defense is not all that different from what we ran last season, yet we are struggling to put up the dominant numbers we did so recently ago. We are taking everything in stride and making small tweaks here and there to try to get the optimal results though.

Best of luck!

I agree its an adjustment, but isn't it more realistic? I mean, what team on almost any level gives up 2 TD's in a season?

The games are more challenging now, and frankly for that I am thankful.

No doubt that realistic is better. It is just frustrating relearning what works.
