I guess, they're also being way overblown. The only sizable changes were to screens and on the run that's been too strong for as long as I can remember. Everything else barely got changed.

https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/814354 After the changes, 54% and 58% completion rates
https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/813650 Before the changes, 53% and 57% completion rates
But yeah, passing is completely broken boys

I'm not entirely sure that's fair this season. Screens look interesting. It looks like they tried to fix the pass arc issue and just missed the mark from current results. But we haven't seen a 70 or 80 Pocket Awareness QB in sim yet, maybe they make it work. They tried to buff Zone Shark I just don't think they hit the mark.
And they even buffed Rough Cover (probably not nearly enough).
A lot of these changes look like they were trying to hit on points suggested by people they just missed the number or implementation.
It looks like they tried a lot more with these changes than some of the changelogs we've gotten in the past.
And as someone who is generally critical of the devs I want to give them a nod when I think they're at least putting in a legitimate effort.

...and I'd say passing was better now (last season) than the previous by comparison here is my KY just before that one: https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/288725
Those zone dots are built to get Ints, they are performing exactly as they should perform. I get we want the game to be fun, but defense is fun too, and we need game balance.
Passing dots are built to perform too. The whole point was that Pass Power wasn't working right.
And again, should rushing be nerfed since Murdoch had 8.6 ypc?

Hopefully the passing change is a step in the right direction. BSB ran 2 Sims today and threw for over 50% in both games... Early to say and no data to back it up right now, but a quick observation seemed to point to receivers jumping up for the ball more, meaning vertical on receivers could be a bit more important. It also would theoretically allow for more opportunity for prime time to fire.
Take the change, observe, and make theoretical adjustments. If the above is true, passing could actually have been buffed when the dust settles as prime time is obviously one of the more used SA choices on receivers.

Guess that shows how much I pay attention, good on them then. I do remember screens being talked about now that I think about it

Rob Gronkowski has a 65% career catch rate on plays just like that. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GronRo00.htm
And again, I appreciate you listening to suggestions. I just don't see why OTR or rec awareness got nerfed. Or why there's a pocket awareness check tied to passing angles. I mean I guess it's good for those of us with Mobile QBs, but not good for most which are pocket passers

BSB QB only has 35 pocket awareness... Usually we roll a bit higher for OTR firing rate, but it does not seem to be crippling our offense in the couple of scrims that we ran today...

Again, https://rbsdm.com/stats/heat_maps/
You can see where the QBs threw the ball. Even the QBs for Gronk still mostly threw short passes to the flats. Though they do have higher than typical passes to routes the TE would be running.

If people are fine with the changes then so be it.

All I am saying, is let's try to avoid making knee jerk assumptions on how this will all play out with minimal data and weather still not being ideal until the start of the season hits. The changes could be good, bad, indifferent, or anywhere in-between. It is at least something exciting worth analyzing and possibly trying to adjust to.

I agree, and want others to give their impressions. If most like the changes then cool.

I'm not entirely sure that's fair this season. Screens look interesting.
So quick thoughts on your scrim today, most screens look like they have potential now. TE screen sucks. And I'm sad you didn't run the actual bubble screens with the WR going out rather than in.
