what i have noticed lately is the cbs with higher int rate have more vertical than 30 really. not sure how that plays in but it is there.

I'd presume for a non-S* CB you'd have to sacrifice some essentials to get a good amount of intercepting. For a S* CB though it should be a lot more affordable and you can still have a very good catch rate as the guy above does.

The Vertical on my CBs is:

His guy has 65 which is a lot more obviously, I'll go through all his INTs and see if he actually jumps on any of them.

INT skill only plays a part in getting picks. High footwork and quickness to get into position (turn or square up to the pass) and high cov tech to stay with the receiver and be in the vicinity of the pass play a huge roll.

Pretty much eliminates Vertical, Quickness, and Sprinting as playing a large factor. All my CBs have similar stats on those. I only know Footwork on 2 of the CBs, PeeWee and Hudson Tatum and all my CBs have higher than both. That leaves Coverage Tech as being a factor, but my guys playing Zone don't use it as much as guys playing Man so not sold on that either....

Yeah I changed my post when I saw PeeWee in the 70's. I'm stumped.
