I did OC one game this season because Wise didn't want to. We only beat Odessa in that game. They have only won GLB 8 times I think.

The thread MYTH: GLB2 has more active dots and teams than GLB1 has been merged into this thread

GLB2 has 12 teams/league x 20 leagues = 240 teams
x 43 players/team = 10,320 players

GLB has 395 Full Active Teams
(I define Full Active as regular or casual teams with human owners and 50+ human dots who aren't red inactives)
x 55 players/team = 21,725 players

Keep in mind I did not include the d-leagues for either game. I also counted all teams in GLB2 and counted them all as full with full rosters. In GLB 1 there are metric shit-tons of partially filled teams, including many with 40+ but lower than 50 active human players who I didn't count for this. Based on these facts I am positive the player estimate for GLB1 is low, and the player estimate for GLB2 is high.

Since GLB 1 dots cost significantly more than GLB2 dots, we have to honestly ask ourselves why GLB1 is defined by admins as "dead" while GLB2 is defined as "thriving"...

Just btw there are aprox 125 current active full plateau teams, which equates to 25/season. While the next two seasons the current semi and nat minors look to downsize plateau dot supply, regional minors and below is actually promising to match or improve current plateau dot levels, and is clearly capable of sustaining the new 60 teams in natty/WL under the new system.

Once GLB1 is in the new structure (matching GLB2's 12/league) we will have aprox 33 leagues between regular and minors which is more than 50% greater than the 20 leagues of GLB2.

GLB1 players are so desperate for any kind of activity, semi-human contact or illusion of relevance that they will take turns coming to GLB2 to try to get noticed?

i still dont understand why after a year and a half, the majority of the GLB1ers would have been converted...

I actually wish all the GLB1 guys would come over -- would be a lot of fun to have a new wave of people capable of understanding and competing...after several seasons of learning anyway.

I posted this for the GLB1 forum but figured you guys would like to see it too. I'm thinking about converting to GLB2 so one day it can have as many dots as GLB1 does. I hope we can all become great friends!
