So essentially what will a CB have in carrying grip while returning? 0?

or any other position that doesn't have the attribute 'carrying grip' for that matter?

They'll have 500 SPs worth of carrying grip.

Let's say I have 97 power running and I have a ability that will give me +7 power running for a short time. Can you go over the 100 cap temporarily? Or is it a waste?

And it doesn't go up while you have an active superstar either. So you have to wait until after it's retired to start building the bar up again. That really sucks. Makes me not want to make new players while I have a superstar of that tier out.

My enthusiasm just took a hit. Just make it so the tiers earned by the superstar don't count towards the bar so we can still make players that count towards the goal.

I feel that if it's changed to your scenario there will be way too many superstars in a few seasons. I like the way it is. A superstar should be somewhat rare, which is why they are a superstar. If everyone is a superstar then there's nothing distinguishable between them and your average player. They then BECOME the average.

Agreed.

In addition in cases such as my own where we have 2 owners on the team it will force you to branch out and get other agents. Only 1 agent can have a few superstars so if you want more on your team, go out and get other agents. Though you still need to watch the cap room it matters.

And sure you can cut players to afford superstars but at a cost as conditioning will need to be handled and as your player gets tired they performance will decline... ohhh how fun!

That has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. Each agent can only have 3 at a time period. What I'm talking about is not gaining points towards your next superstar while you have the superstar active. Basically any extra non superstar bots you make during your superstar's career don't count.

So why would I make extra bots for my team or others if they don't count towards getting a superstar bot in the future?

Because. Non superstars bots will be the heart and soul of every team superstars will be fun and great but still far from a majority

Still not making a point on why we should not get points towards superstars.

The days of me filling a roster because no one wanted to make Olineman, Defensive Tackles, or STOPs ended with me leaving GLB 1. Now with not getting points towards superstars any non superstars I would have made during their career won't be made.

That's going to be 5 seasons of waiting to make bots again. If anything this penalizes people who like to make more players

Right now you can fill a 43 man roster with ~2/3rds at high salary. It'll only take a couple of superstars to force every team to medium contracts. Any more than that and you're going to have to go with low contracts on folks, or start cutting roster size. Adding superstars will have obvious implications on team-wide stamina once you start shedding roster size to make room for them.

I think it's fine how it is. There might not even be room for the all the superstars that will eventually exist due to salary cap and roster limitations as it is.

Ok what your not understanding is basic economics. Some players will have 3 superstars after this season, some will take a few seasons and some will take much longer. But point being is that if you can only have a few superstars per team and each agent can have 3 superstars at some point the supply will greatly outweigh the demand. This is how they lessen that by only allowing you to have 3 superstars at one time and that as long as you have them you can't just retire them and replace them on a dime's notice by saving up superstar points. Personally I like this model and think its a good way to limit the amount of superstars created.
