I've only overdosed on meds once.

Had a hacking cough back when I was like 13-14 or whatever, dad got fed up with it and brought in a bottle of cough syrup. Instead of measuring it he was like "oh just take a swig it's just cough syrup". So I did. Then we read the label and it was some kind of child cough syrup where the regular dosage was one drop a day.

Then I woke up 3 days later.

So yes, that is what's wrong with me, explains a lot, etc etc

Sickness will surely take the mind where minds can't usually go, come on the Amazing Journey, and learn all you should know.

Ended up having to go to the ER, my throat was swelling so much it completely shut. Turns out 'ibuprofen or acetaminophen' was the least of my worries. All is good now, I'm on some seriously strong shit so Im not even aware I have a throat ^_^

Non contagious. I considered that much before going in.

I hate people who go to class when they are sick and get other people sick.

Turns out I have mono and I had a really bad reaction to it at first. So I wasn't contagious, you arent contagious when you show symptoms.

Anyone know how to reliably combat the fatigue that comes with it? Im a college student, I cant afford to be drowsy and tired round the clock

false. this is a common misconception. you're less contagious by the time you show symptoms. After the incubation period, but before you show symptoms, the virus is running rampant through your system, and you are the most contagious you will be. At the point you're symptomatic, your body has started to fight back, so the virus isn't as rampant, and isn't as 'tough', but it is still there, and can still infect people. Especially considering at that point your are coughing sneezing and expelling virus filled mucous.

When you were a child, you caught a fleeting glimpse. Out of the corner of your eye. You turned to look, but it was gone...you cannot put your finger on, it moved...you never grown...your dream is gone. You - you - you, have become; comfortably dumb!

had it once. the only thing I really remember is just always being tired. was working a flexible office gig at the time, with an understanding boss, which was good, cause I left at one every day for a week, went home and slept til 5 or 6, was back in bed by 8 and slept straight through til 6 or 7. I don't remember for sure, but I think that lasted for 8-10 days or so.
