You haven't critiqued any issue in his game, you have just rambled about spread QBs and powerhouse teams. Players don't fail because of their college scheme and they don't fail because of how good of a college team they were on. Players fail because they lack an ability or attribute needed to succeed in the NFL. What attribute does Bradford lack?
I watch a ton of college football and a good number of his games. I think he will be average. Its my opinion. I think its going to take him a long time to develop if he does because he was in the spread, didn't have to read defenses, etc. He has the attributes, but so did Jamarcus Russel, Akili Smith, etc.......all first round QBs have the attributes.
When you want to project a QB there are a few things that concern me.
1) Spread Offense
2) Didn't play under pressure due to dominating line's
3) Superior talent he played with causing game tape which may be misleading (then again it might not be)
4) Ability to adjust to the NFL game due to the offense he was in for the last few years.
He may turn out, if he does....good for you. I just would never want my favorite team drafting a spread QB.
Here are the things that concern me:
1. Interceptions
2. Accuracy
3. Consistency
4. Character
5. Mechanics
6. Size
As I have now stated I think 5 times, Bradford was not in a true spread. He played out of Pro Style formations and did make reads. NFL reads are of course more complicated then any college reads so it will take some time but Bradford has EVERYTHING you look for in a QB:
-Size
-Accuracy
-Quick Release
-Arm Strength
-Character
-Consistency
-Winner
-Football IQ
JaMarcus Russell didn't have all the attributes, he lacked character and accuracy.

During Leaf's time, they were. That's the problem with only considering what you think of them now.

Here are the things that concern me
-Accuracy
-Years Starter
-Offensive System (must be pro style)
The rest you have listed are icing on the QB cake, but if you don't have the first 3, I personally would pass. I think w/ out those three the likelihood of success drops off.

Maybe I should have narrowed my criteria for "powerhouse" down so you could understand it. You have just spent 45min arguing about this with me when you didn't understand my original comment.

Do you want to argue with Bob Stoops on that one? He disagrees that they are primarily a shotgun offense.

No, I don't think you understand your argument. The powerhouse comment comes from being on a talented team which you say makes a QB more likely to bust. Well you may not know those schools as powerhouses but they had talented teams when those QBs played which is your entire argument.

You're the one who wanted to do it, what do you have in mind? The issue is that I don't know when Bradford will start. Shurmur, the OC, is from Philly where they don't normally start rookie QBs right away so Bradford may not start until part way through the season.

Lets just say you take the top 25 from that list. Unless someone knows a better way of managing it. Even at that you only have 6 QBs in that top 20. Im not counting Brady because he didn't play.
Fwiw....I don't consider some of the top 25 powerhouse...but I see a lot of homers in the crowd that would argue they are significant till their f5 button broke.
You take the top 25 the last 10 yes if you wanted an actual indication... The only school that still seems to be able toget by on name alone is notre dame, and that's because of NBC- it's a what the fuck have you done lately world in college football..
What is the argument anyways? I don't think jrry is saying only top qbs come from big time school. An it isn't really trying to make the argument that 90% of NFL qbs come from small schools is he?

I bet he throws more INTs then TDs. If its a 1:1 ratio then its a draw, and if he throws more tds then ints then you win. If he doesn't play this year its a draw. Loser wears the Avatar of the winners choice for the NFL playoffs.

Done but 1 more stipulation, must start minimum of 8 games. I think that's fair.

List me your powerhouse schools then. Its easy to call someone dumb when you are not bringing anything credible to the table.
Provide a list of your powerhouse schools....anyone. Then take that top 20 and show me more than 7 that fit it. Max you get 6 out of 20 and I was being nice to give you 6 imo.
I dont have to show that you're dumb. You're doing a mighty fine job it youself. Michigan isnt a powerhouse school, lol
