Wow, spanking by Cork. Scoreline doesn't even reflect how well they played.

As mentioned, we lost shockingly to Cork.
Still we are 3rd while Cork is 11th and will have a really hard time just keeping that spot.
.
How do you figure that? Our next 3 games are very winnable, no offense to the opposing teams. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
QFT. We are WAY better than our record.

Well i just don't think Cork is that good enough.
But i do change my prediction if you keep beating my guesses.
3 games went different than i thought this round.
Though it had very little impact on my guesses and the standings.

So Asmodan, would that result over Lyon allow us to rise even one spot in your predictions?

Actually yes
That win means you'll beat Lyon atleast.
Still need to do two big upsets to get second place though.

Believe me...I know! We have a seriously tough close to the season so I don't mind sitting 5th. Still think we can pull off another win or two before season end though!

Rome does have the tie breaker against us though. However, they have a much tougher remaining schedule. It is going to be a dogfight for the #4 position.

Agreed. Struggling with game planning on defense right now. Offensive experiments are sucking ass as well.
Prolly over thing the whole damn thing.

My usual summary from this round:
Alpha:
Frankfurt massacred Clydesdale and continues toward the first place.
Belfast met Lyon in what turned out to be a FG party.
During the second quarter there was scored 5 FG and a TD with Lyon having the lead.
However when the 2nd half started, Lyon had nothing more to give as Belfast just crushed them taking 13 points.
After this Lyon never managed to come back, giving Belfast a victory that will assure them a spot in the top4.
Belfast holds 2nd and has secured their playoff spot while Lyon fell down to 5th.
Bow Street massacred Larryville and holds 3rd.
Glasgow met Sweden in a very close game.
Glasgow were best in the first half as Sweden only managed to get through their defense once.
As the second half started, both teams defense slipped with Glasgow first scoring a TD, with Sweden striking back with 2.
Sweden were leading with the last quarter left, and both teams noticed the pressure as neither could muster any good offense.
But a touchback punt from Glasgow followed by yet more bad offense from Sweden, allowed Glasgow to FG in the winning points.
Glasgow still holds 4th while Sweden needed that upset to make the playoffs, as they are still holding 10th.
Marseille had an easy win against Belgrade holding 6th.
Limerick had the chance to secure a playoff spot against IKK Fu, but instead got completly crushed.
So Ikk Fu probably secured their playoff spot instead even though they are only holding a 7th.
Limerick still living dangerously, but so far still having the upper hand on their 8th.
Spaniards are still chasing from behind to gain that playoff spot, after they won a hard game against Cork.
So far only 9th while Cork is still holding their 12th
Reykjavik won as expected against Port St Lucie, even though they got tired and let Port St Lucie score several TD and almost get back into the game.
Reykjavik is still on 11th, eying that 10th place.
Zeta:
Berlin crushed Camelot continuing towards 1st place.
Kilkenny had no trouble against Leeds, and secured their playoff spot.
Buffalo massacred P-Ville holding 3rd.
Rome played Shamrocks, and it was a really close first half as the two teams where following eachother.
However in the second half, Rome just got to tired and Shamrocks outmatched them and took the surprise victory.
Rome fell down to 4th and might also have lost their top4 place, while Shamrocks holds 6th and secured their playoff spot with this win.
Fighting Irish where no match against London.
London still holds 5th, while the Fighting Irish is still on 10th and now is almost certainly out of the playoffs.
Dissapointing from a team who did so well last seasons playoffs.
Drunken had no trouble against Vikings and hold their 7th.
Tranmere had a crucial game against Vatican.
Tranmere had some serious problem against Vaticans defense, and when their own defense got tired, Vatican scored the winning TD's.
Vatican took the 8th place from Tranmere and sent them down to 9th.
And they also most likely took the last playoff spot with this victory.
Munich met BC, and had nothing to stand up against them with.
They still hold 11th and BC 12th, but now it seems points scored will determin how good these two teams does.

wow bitter party of you.....let it go, you got beat by a superior team (ours) that day. There's an old saying in football it goes like this "any team can beat any other team on any given Sunday". There's also another old American saying "take it like man". So cowboy up buttercup......
