the december 28th changes.

I haven't really pinpointed it. I've just noticed it activating much less over the last few games or so.

But I didn't realize that any of the changes could have had some kind of effect?

I see a lot of inexperience in customer service when it comes to some of the forums such as the bugs forum. That said they also seem to have a genuine desire to help. The lack of experience and the need to lock threads immediately creates a level of frustration that could easily be avoided by waiting.

Give a thread a day. Bookmark it and see where it goes. If it becomes a flames fest lock it. If others come forward and add similar findings maybe progress can be made.

That is the point in an open forum. One user may only notice one symptom of a larger issue. Others may contribute and through discussion the root of the problem may be discovered. Many bugs issues are spilling over into the GLB forum simply because nothing can be discussed in the bugs forum anymore.

Again the Bugs Mods are working overtime but I think they could relax a bit and actually get more done.

We do get a lot of applications; I'm sure Pallow has it somewhere.

Even if you're not a mod, you can help out in the FAQ forum, or the position talk/tactics forums, etc. Be an active, constructive part of the community, and more often than not you'll get noticed for that.

We have been doing that - there are a few stickied threads right now just because of that, especially the OL blocking one.

Don't think you even got to the discussion part.

Sorry.

Not to mention that Pallow still goes back and looks at applications when he needs replacements.

I applied for Bugs Mod.

I'd apply for a Bugs Mod but I feel being a WL owner and in the past not handled myself the best way in the forums would lead to a big fat NO. Although I do think I could really help this game progress similar to how you have

I can't get on and start posting and stop 10 minutes later. I'm always on for hours once I start.

Sub-forums. Suggestions has one. Bugs could use one. That clears up the clutter for you without needing to lock threads.

No new threads (same as Epic), but ongoing bug issues are moved there for further discussion.

Just a thought.

I actually have suggested something similar to this. Might be something Bort and I work on sometime in the near future.

Speaking of which, something really needs to be done to make the game more friendly to new users. I know there were some plans to create "how-to" videos, but those guys also need a place to play once their season in the D-leagues is over. Right now the game is simply not friendly to poorly built players. After this season I'm transforming my team into a home for the wayward, and while enough owners doing the same might make a difference in keeping new players around long enough to learn the "right ways" to build players, it would be nice if the site itself also took steps in that direction.

People like you, jrry, PT, and myself aren't cut out to be mods but might still be able to tackle issues in some form. Maybe Deathblade could form his own team of "Insightful Assholes" to take on various challenges.

Yeah, being anti-mod isn't a good way to get a mod job.

Just figured it was common sense really.
