I'm hammering away at that because only someone completely clueless about Pike would say that he had a cannon for an arm. That's not a simple mistake or a matter of disagreement, it shows a fundamental level of ignorance. To make a statement like that shows that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Sweet... Please keep going back to your lone examples (Tarkenton, Brees, Flutie) of short guys that have had successful NFL careers... Guys that succeed DESPITE their height, and are once in a decade type of players... They also succeed because they had quick drops or great mobility which helped to mask their deficiency in height...

tbf, how many short QB's have been given an actual shot to start at the position in the NFL? not a lot, so those lone examples are some of the only shorter QB's to get a chance.

Excellent job of not asking yourself **why** not many short QBs have been given a chance. You just plowed through and clicked "submit" without even blinking.

At least you've now backed off from trying to pretend that what I do professionally is somehow meaningless to this discussion. No, covering fantasy football does not mean that I automatically know what I'm talking about. Moreover, I don't ask people to simply take my word as truth because of what I do. I generally take the time to explain why someone is wrong; the insults regarding their lack of intelligence or comments about my own background only come later when I'm sufficiently annoyed about someone ignoring the facts.

Sure, if the OLineman isn't contacted, I guess he will have been lowered 6-10 inches, but the moment a DLineman hits him both players begin pushing, and naturally you leverage upwards... unless you get planted on your ass.

Please just stop. The more you post, the more you highlight your spectacular ignorance. Pass blocking isn't akin to doing squats. You don't thrust up out of a crouch on contact. You sink your hips because it gives you better leverage, and because it is much easier to remain balanced in that position than simply standing straight up. Have someone push against you while standing straight up, and then try it again while doing what I described. I trust that you will find the experience illuminating.

So because your trajectory argument was invalidated, now you're pretending that you really meant height was important because of arm reach and larger hands?

Except that you can't give a single example of any quarterback who failed because of his height. Maybe height just really isn't that big a deal, and teams are just being retarded by obsessing over it, just like they used to believe that blacks weren't smart enough to play quarterback. If you can't provide any evidence that height can actually make a quarterback fail, then why would you insist that it is a major factor in success?

It's a really simple request. Surely if being short was such an enormous disadvantage, you could find at least one example of a quarterback who failed due to a lack of height. Instead what we've seen throughout history is that short quarterbacks succeed or fail for the same reasons as tall quarterbacks: because they either can read defenses and throw accurately or they can't. It's not about height. Seriously, not being able to give even one example doesn't clue you in that maybe your assumption was off base? Really?

Such a huge amount of fail in this post even for JD. You are just making yourself look worse and worse while not convincing anyone.

And before someone asks, yes, I am embarrassed that I read it.

Another advantage of height that we haven't discussed is how it effects the exchange with the hb... A qb handing off at an upward angle is more often to fumble that exchange than a quarterback handing off at a downward angle... Yet another reason short QB's can't have success (or are more risky).

After wasting more than enough time on the argument, and have multiple people call you out for being wrong in the thread... that... well...
