Yea, you have to switch teams.....That is one thing the ABD guys don't need to do, they know there owner won't quit, and will fight in the APL

You're talking shit to 31 starting FS right now by saying itp is better than they are. Then you go on to talk shit about them not winning a ring. You were here when it was S3 and S4 and the competition was a lot softer than today, and you guys weren't even a playoff threat back then, let alone now.

If all you care about is a ring, then I doubt you'd make all of these obnoxious and outlandish posts about how good of a person you are and how terrible these successful teams are (Conakry, LOL, etc). And you talk about Lake Opeta as if it's giving up, rolling over, and playing dead. Guess what? I was on Conakry for 2 of LOL's 3 championship seasons. They beat us both times in the playoffs. I didn't talk shit about them. And I recognize that (even though I only have one of the rings) Lake Opeta won 3 championships, and if Hokiemon wants to hang it up, it's certainly not a bad tenure as an owner. How many teams have threepeated a Pro league, including a perfect season?

You can talk about quitting and longevity, but Hokiemon accomplished in 120 consecutive game days what you haven't even come close to doing. StiffarmSteve and his team have won two rings. They didn't do it by talking shit. They did it by finding the right players and gameplanning. It's not exactly hard to make a good player in GLB. It is much more difficult to gameplan, and I figure that's what makes and breaks good teams.

So you can deflect responsibility and ignore the facts as long as you want, but I think it's obvious to everyone that you don't really even want to win in the APL. Sure, you'll beat up some CPU teams and avoid being relegated, but you don't care enough to gameplan and win. It's easier to lose and trash talk about other people. And don't try to say it isn't your gameplanning. You have characters of higher levels than some of these teams that are consistently beating you. So you can say that you aren't gonna quit and you'll continue to fight in the APL, but it's hard to quit what you've never started, and if you're fighting, you're pulling a lot of punches.

1. If you aren't winning playoff games, you're not a threat. That's what I meant. Maybe contender was a better word for you. The Pistons might have made the playoffs last season, but they weren't a threat to the Cavs. I don't think anyone sees you in the bracket and goes "Oh no, Angola made it. I hope we don't play them." A threat is someone/thing that is threatening, and I doubt anyone finds you threatening in the playoffs.

If we played in a league without any slow building or cpu teams, you'd be a 2-14 - 5-11 team year in and year out. 1-2 wins against .500+ teams a season isn't really impressive if you call yourself a person looking for a ring. You might get a couple of wins against real teams, but the CPU teams are what keep you in the APL.

If you want to say that you didn't start the shit between the teams, I still have the pm of you saying that you wouldn't talk shit to me.

Here are the facts. I think I can safely assume you wont be in the playoffs this year.

Last time you made the playoffs: S6, where you didn't score a single point in a 0-26 loss.
Total playoff appearances: 2; S3 and S6 (out of 8 possible appearances, 75% of the time you guys play 16 games and go on vacation)
Aggregate playoff record: 0-2
Championships won: 0

0 playoff wins in 8 seasons isn't a playoff threat. I don't even care if you made the playoffs all 8 seasons and lost by 1 point in 2OT each time, that's not a threat.

But anyways, keep trying to change the subject and ignore the fact that, well, you're just not a good enough owner, since you measure success by championships. You've had 8 chances in the APL, and you've got...goose egg.

Not to mention the lack of football knowledge you've demonstrated in this thread by ignoring the fact that DBs aren't supposed to have many tackles (with strong safeties it might not be such a bad thing but outside of them, definitely) and such stats. I dunno, maybe you should give your players a better chance and ship them off to other teams... at some point, trying to prove something isn't worth being a below-average team year in and year out. I mean if I were the owner of a 6-10 team and I kept my players as long as I could, wouldn't it just become selfish eventually to keep them? What can you say at the end of the season? "Well, we didn't make the playoffs this year, but we might have a chance next year if enough teams gut and/or go to the WPL."

I dunno, if I didn't win a playoff game in 8 seasons I'd probably take a step back and realize I'm spending money to keep a team that isn't going anywhere.

Thanks for the long winded write up......See the sad thing is, you can't run a team. Now maybe if H would give you Lake you could do a decent job. Hell Barry Switzer won a trophy on a team Jimmy made....But you couldn't start from scratch and get a team to the pro's or in my case keep a team in the pros for 8 seasons....because you need the win now.....

As far as me as an owner, well looking at my record it does suck. But I spend hours doing research and I am not huge in networking, I have all the real friends in the real world I need, so maybe that is a fault of mine. You know one of my agents committed suicide, after his mother passed away from cancer. I would pm him everyday, and one thing he wrote me "you don't ever quit, Vegas GLB, you have guys here that will stand behind you." Everytime I get frustrated and think about leaving, I remember his pm.
