So you want to know why Bill Laimbeer was the greatest to ever lace them up and I tell you the answer is just all too simple. I could point out the obvious like his stats, I can tell about his great range as A C, his 3 pointers range is stellar, not many 7 footers can step out and hit the three and if they can they are usually the soft type, not the case with Laimbeer. I could tell you about how well he used to clean the defensive boards and I could tell you how he got under other players(and fans) skin causing them to get frustrated and yes on occasion throw A punch or two. That would be too easy and that is just not the main reason. I tell you again the reason is right there beneath the surface, if you ask 100 people who the greatest player of all time is you are going to receive probably 20-30 votes A piece for Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird(with of course A ton going to Wilt). You won't see any go to Laimbeer unless you are holding the vote in Detroit. That would be A mistake on the voters part because any sports fan will tell you that to be the best you have to beat the best and that is just what Laimbeer did. He holds A winning record against those players and not just any winning record but A winning record when it matters the most, in the playoffs. The basketball season is long and players can tend to slack off for A game here or there but in the playoffs every game matters and you can't afford to play half ass and Bill Laimbeer did not. He put it all on the line and beat Magic, beat Bird and beat Jordan. Seriously Jordan is considered by some the greatest of all time because he won 6 championships but ask your self this, with how much trouble he had with the bad boy Pistons would he have won any if it weren't for Laimbeers knees giving out on him and that great Pistons team dissolving? I think not. Bill Laimbeer played the game the right way, take A look at todays game and no offense but I am going to use your Pistons as an example, Rasheed Wallace has recently taking some criticism for hugging Kevin Garnett after their recent game and I say rightfully so. Bill Laimbeer would be working his jab and mixing in the uppercut every now and then and Wallace is giving hugs and Valentines cards. If you play like you and the other guy are worst enemies you aren't going to feel like hugging him later and that is what it takes to be A champion. Well there you go, I hope that it wasn't A flop(pun intended).

This is a question that is debated on by writers, TV talking heads and fans in bars everyday. Who is the greatest NBA player ever?

Some say Micheal Jordan-I say over-rated, we all know Pippen carried MJ on his back.

Others argue for Bill Russel, the MAN WAS SOFT plain and simple, how the hell can you smoke cigars with Aurbach and expect to get up and down the court.

Their is another group that is for Wilt. While Wilt might have been the greatest "PLAYA" in NBA history you need to hit a free throw once in a while to be the greatest ever.

No my friend their is only one choice for greatest NBA player ever, WILLIAM LAMBEER JR. the GREATEST EVER. It isn't just numbers that make you the greatest ever, even though Bill has those-10,000 points and rebounds-2 NBA titles-4 all-star games.

The numbers only tell a small portion of why William Lambeer Jr. was the Greatest ever though, the real reason he has this title is that he was EVIL. Bill was the personification of EVIL in an NBA player. Bill was so EVIL he played one of the most EVIL television characters ever, a Slaystack in the classic show Land of the Lost. He was so EVIL the his EVIL was not affected by that bastion of Catholisism NOTRE DAME. Bill was able to mantain his level of EVIL through out his stay there.

In the NBA a year in the HELL HOLE Cleveland did nothing but increase his EVEL intensity. No man could be forced to go to Cleveland and not become more EVIL.

1981 Bill was finally able to show how truely EVIL he was when he joined the DETROIT PISTONS. Bill was the catylyst behind the "Bad Boys" as the Pistons were know in that era. His EVIL play led him to be the player most feared by opponent and hated by the opositon in the history of the NBA. A man amongst boys on the court, Bill was so dominate other teams attempted to break him down in any way possible, to no avail.

Bill pimp slapped Larry Bird when Bird tried to get tough with him. Robert Parish punched him in the face-he lauged and called him a girl. That fat piece of crap Charles Barkley got a lesson in life when he went after Bill.

The only way the League could get him off the court was to suspend him after he Monkey smacked that girl Brad Daugherty. It took that to stop a 685 game playing streak, the man was so EVIL he could not be stopped.

Few people will admit this, but Bill, not Chuck Daly was the real genius behind the team. This is proven by Bill's sucess as a WNBA coach today. 2 titles in 4 years speaks for itself.

Rodman, Mahorn and rest of the Bad Boys were average players until the met Bill. His EVIL was so infectious that they became smaller versions of the great Bill Lambeer. This EVIL flow led the Pistons to 2 NBA titles, the most hated and EVIL team in the history of the league.

So now you know, if anyone asks who is the greatest player in NBA history the answer is simple WILLIAM LAMBEER JR.

Did you know that Bill Laimbeer is the greatest Basketball player to ever put on a jock strap? Bill was so good all he played in was a jockstrap. He felt close would hold him back. I remember one time Bill asked Michael Jordan to hold his jock strap but Mike refused saying he was not worthy. Bill led the NBA in career PPG(100 points per game), rebounds(20 rebounds per game) and assists to himself(20 assists to himself per game). Bill also led the NBA in stalkers, the boy had 100s of young women stalking him, Jessica Alba used to bow at his feet. When Bill retired at 20 years old(he played Pro B-Ball from the age of 1-19), he decided that Football was his next spot. Bill also was the only guy to be able to screw a cheerleader while dunking the ball, yeah it is THAT long!!!! I once remember Kobe Bryant trying to kick Shaq off of his team so they could sign Bill Laimbeer and Kobe could pass Bill the ball. Some said Bill used steroids but truly steroids comes from Bill Laimbeer's sweat. I once saw Bill beat up Chuck Norris then dunk the ball in Wilt Chamberlain's face while screwing Jessica Alba! Bill Laimbeer is not only good enough to have every Basketball arena named after him but even his agent will have a Football field named after him(Bob Probert Field) provided he sign with the Madrid Maulers! People say the U of F doctors created Gatoraide, but Bill did it when he bit a Gator in half while making the game winning 3 pointer to win his 19th NBA Championship. He was so good they even changed the name of the NBA to the Bill Laimbeer Basketball Association but Bill made them change it back. It was unfair for Bill to play on one team so he played for both teams in every game. I remember one time when Bill Laimbeer broke his leg, the heavens came out of his broken leg and sprang up above. Some people say Bill Laimbeer is as good as a god but I say God wishes he was as good as Bill Laimbeer. So please the Maulers need god on our team!!!!!!

+1, seriously, with the level of FA we are pursuing here if he couldn't get A PM sent in an entire weekend he should be eliminated. I was going to wait to make sure I though of something good but I sent it earlier just in case he came back early. No excuse for not getting your PM in on time.
