Not sure how any seasoned team is supposed to compete with a competent Pro team. What an absolute waste of time. The SP difference is glaring.

As a team they had 25 PD's.

Yes I am salty.

With the resetting of the ladder every season, does scheduling cross tier games really make sense anymore?

Nope.

I've always thought playing across tiers was stupid. It is pretty unfair just due to the SP difference. The ladder should be used to find the clear cut, best team in the tier. You can't really do that while playing teams from others tiers.

22 games in and we still haven't played most of the top teams in our tier.

The only top 10 seasoned teams we have played all season were teams in our league.

I guess it's better to face teams with 80k more SP though. Real fun.

Super lame. It happens throughout Seasoned, Journeyman and Pro. Bronx Bombers(Pro) haven't played Too Many Cooks or Columbus Cobras since sophomore season.

It's a big reason why Rookie, Soph and Vet are the 3 most enjoyable tiers. They really need to rework the ladder matchup system, because top 10 teams never playing each other is pretty stupid.

They will just come in here and tell us it is our fault. All of these problems go away if we just invite our friends. If there are like 6 leagues at each tier there will be mostly ladder games in the same tier when they reset each season. What can you really expect when there are some tiers with like 2 leagues and a bunch of CPU teams.

Would be awesome but we can't just wave a magic wand.

Seasoned, Journeyman and Pro are for the forseeable future going to have a lack of teams. As such there probably needs to be some play up/down a tier in Ladder games, but at some point you should play teams in your tier.

I still like my idea where the last few (2-3-whatever) Ladder games are prioritized to teams in your tier that you haven't played that are in the 20-team range of Ladder games. I don't think people would bitch so much about some up/down tier games (due to lack of opponents) if they at least got a reasonable amount of in-tier games by the end of the Ladder season.

Should be fairly simple. Just prioritize in tier games before you play across tiers.

ELO is a relative rating system, not a winner takes all tournament.

If by nope, you mean yes.

It still dynamically maintains the relative strength difference between tiers, so that the reset point of ELO is more accurate at the end of the season.

Every single league game is against a team in your own tier.

Id rather play against the top teams in the tier than half of our league games being against CPU or non-competitive teams.

Bring on the 16 team, end of season tournament then if we aren't gonna play all the top teams in our tier. I, and most others, care more about who is the best team in our tier than elo rankings.
