Godwin's Law might as well be amended to include "Far Right" since nobody invoking it wishes to use the term correctly.
Believe in law and order? "Far Right".
Believe in Christianity? "Far Right".
Believe in locking one's doors at night, and the country's borders? "Far Right".
Believe in the right to free speech, the right of assembly, the right to freedom of religion (and from religion), and the right of a free press? NOBODY CARES because they've already declared you to be "Far Right".
Its a rubbish cycle of lame diversion of whatever topic is at hand.
You know who the last "Hitler" was? Literally...HITLER.
There may have been worse people, there may BE worse people, but the moment one drags the name "Hitler" into a conversation, the conversation has been broken beyond repair. "Far right" now is just as *pointless* in conversations, because those who wield it are (by and large) dishonest whores.
What would you consider “far right” then?
But I agree, the terms get thrown around far too much on each side. Far-Right, Extremist, radical, etc.
We have let politics divide us as a whole, and people who truly are in the “middle” of all this are becoming the lost population. The middle/lower class has been decimated. My household makes, what our parents would have considered a “strong middle class wage”, and yet we still struggle. The cost of education is outrageous, the cost of everything is outrageous. But if anyone talks about raising wages, the main rebuttal is “but how will the corporations survive!!?” Meanwhile, the same corporations are raking in record profits and passing the wealth along to the CEO’s. “But higher wages will make prices go up!” Prices have continued to go up for years. Yet, wages remain largely unchanged.
There’s so much that the majority of Americans, when sat down at a table, could agree on, yet we are surrounded by propaganda to cause division. And if you don’t think it’s happening, listen to how people with influence talk about “lesser thans”.
