Isn't the downside the fact that you already must be losing the 1v1 blocking interaction... TV doesn't require the defender to be losing the interaction at all...

In other news... the first step SA needs better firing rates it seems. Gold First Step on a 53 quickness player fired 3 times out of 55 plays. I know 53 quickness is not a lot. But at gold First Step is supposed to fire up to 60% of the time. If we assume that 53/100 quickness is equal to a 53% rate. 60*.53 = a 31.8% activation rate which should lead to firing roughly 17.5 times in 55 plays. 3 seems way outside of what should happen there.
Edit: 2nd game 4 times out of 66 or just over 6% firing rate compared to what should be around 31.8%... First Step is for sure in need of help. It should be a key SA for getting receivers up field quickly to avoid sacks. Please address this!!!

It's the pass equivalent of Immovable Object. How is it not balanced?

But its not, Bort made it a direct counter to TV, so we should make it reflect TV...If not, then how about we take the negative off TV then? I'd love my pass rushers to not be blind a bat. Or are you saying we should always favor Offense??

OL is always losing the interaction as the rolls go against them the longer the interaction goes.

Ok... then let's talk about how TV fires pretty much EVERY play with even 30 PRP and halves tech rolls... or that it also fires on run plays. The counter probably won't even stop the instant revcake sacks anyway as the loss was so quick and down they go.
And yeah, OLine is always losing interactions which is something that I do not fully agree with either but whatever. If OLines could block better, the passing PB could open up a bit more possibly.

How is it different from Immovable Object or Leverage? It's the same counter. All this SA does is give Pass Protectors what Run Blockers already had.

Adding on... If TV halves opposing tech. An OLineman WITH EB and Technical blocker traits carries an SP cost of about 42k SP to go from 35 to 70 PRT and a single SA TV has removed 42k SP for the DURATION of the game essentially while that same defender also gets sprint/quickness buffs.
Come on guys... Give TV the piss poor firing rate of First Step, then let's talk.

How about this:
- Added a new Signature Ability for Offensive Linemen: "Absolute Unit." This ability is sort of a counterpart to defense's Tunnel Vision ability.
DL at least makes a good argument on the fire rate of TV (though I imagine AU fires pretty well too), just saying AU is equal to IO Or Lev isn't.

Just because something counters one thing doesn't mean it needs to be identical to the thing it counters. That's kind of a silly demand. Defense counters offense, should we give defense their own ball to pass around so it's fair?

What's AU fire rate in comparison?

Of course it doesn't have to be identical, but it doesn't seemed balanced in comparison to me.
Anyways, while you're here how about making Swat Down universal?

Things don't have to be identical to be balanced.

Based on the negative attribute that TV has vs its counter not having any negative. Adderfist had a good suggestion that maybe there should be a footwork penalty to AU. If TV has a greater chance of firing in comparison to AU, then OK, I can concede the debate on it... but that wasn't the point Bo was making to me.

But they are not balanced and you know it or did at the time, you knew that the pass arc was an inadvertent nerf to zone per your talk to Bort. This led to EotP being adjusted to fire with just over the top help and some blitz adjustments such as the OTR nerf. This isn't a good counter however, and many of us who actually use zone suggested SD being universal. On top of this, the new SA is a counter to blitzing which we all agreed for ages was weak at Vet which is a roundabout walking back of the blitz buff you gave us for the pass arc (see OTR change). I get you are giving all the guys who use Man and favor the Pass something here, but there are quite a bit of us who use Zone that have our concerns being ignored.
We are slowly building up to Pass Heavy Inside Rushing domineering teams. That's not balance CDog, that's just meta shifting.
